Why couldn't you simply make aurum separate from plex. I hate how high plex prices are now. And without doubt this will make it even worse. |

Edited by: Manfred Rickenbocker on 27/05/2011 13:12:14Will this new content in any way affect additional content you are producing to supplement the already available choices? I.e. we already have tattoos/clothes/hairstyles, are any new clothes/tattoos/hairstyles going to be released ONLY through vanity purchases or will there be still new generic items available outside of the vanity purchase system? Edit: I REALLY want my Intaki toga back |

I donīt get it. Why another currency? We have ISK - we can convert Plex to ISK. There is no need for another currency. Two thumbs down... |

You'll be able to buy these items on the regular market with ISK, provided someone is willing to sell it to you. |

Don't like the new currency name but like the idea of being able to buy these sort of visual customisations. Would be interested to know how it will work in practice.
Would I have to purchase a new paint job for each ship? Which could get very expensive. Or will we have effectively unlocked a paint job which we can apply to any ship we own? |

Only in the sense that you can buy stuff for Aurum and sell them on the market for Isk, then buy Plex with the Isk. |

How will it work if a painted ship gets destroyed? Will you be able to apply the already-purchased paint job to another of that type ship in your hangar? |

Yes, but someone has to purchase the original item with Aurum and of course the only way to do that is to convert plex into Aurum. There is too much plex floating around in eve and they are trying to figure out how to get rid of it. |

No, clothing is destroyed when you get podded, but if you had a stack on monocle's in your cargo hold they will drop like normal. |

Won't work. ISK is created in-game from isk faucets and doesn't create development money for CCP. PLEX is created by real money. |

What exactly are those PLEX price equilibrium forcing tools?
E.g. when you say 'set conversion rate' is that ever going to be adjusted or will it always remain constant? And will it be possible to convert from AUR->PLEX and will AUR be on the market like PLEX? |

It also brings more customers, since many people don't like using any more RL money on a game than they have to, but see using a PLEX as just an extension of in game currency. This way you get the normal MT buyers and the people who normally try to avoid MTs as customers too. EDIT: Question was answered. Losing clothes on pod destruction seems rather silly from the lore perspective, or are you abandoning the fluidic pod concept entirely? |

So long as these vanity items cannot affect gameplay then fine, honestly I don't care. Such things are not for me.
If at any point in the future it changes to a policy were people can starting buying goods that affect gameplay with Aurum then I will be considering cancelling my subscription.
I understand CCP need to explore such business avenues; just tread very carefully. |

so you lose your PLEX to gain Aurum? or can you sink 50% of a plex into aurum + 50% into game time? (what does "Aurum is created by breaking up a PLEX" mean) |

The Aurum can be converted to plex by selling stuff you bought with Aurum for Isk, and using the Isk to buy Plex. The Aurum are a new currency and will be stored in your wallet like Isk is. |

These items, other than how they are initially purchased, are just like any other item. If it is in your pod (ie, wearing it), nothing survives being podded. If it is in your ship's cargo, it has a chance of surviving and existing in the wreck. |

I thought I was naked in my pod. At least that's what the storylines show, same for artwork and all that. Not to mention that my corpse is space whenever I die is also naked. Or do you mean that we will be able to kill people inside stations where they actually (well, hopefully) wear clothes? |
