I'm in this PvP oriented corp. based in low-sec, and for a player with little knowledge of the game, piloting a dinky little rupture, i find it hard to enjoy the game.
I usually spend less than a minute on my sessions simply asking around if anybody needs help, which in my case, there's nothing.
So I'm extremely bored, I can't do anything and I was wondering what kind of corporations are there that I can just jump right into and have a job or some work to do?

it sounds like since you are flying a rupture that you want to pvp. since most people are pretty bad at pvp you should try to find a decent pvp corp (or pirate corp if you want to go that way) and kill some dudes. tbh pve sucks and you should just kill people and take their stuff. just remember that eve is only as fun as you make it :p

also even pvp corps can be pretty inactive so just keep finding a good one.

A rupture you say? I may have just the place for you! We basically only fly ruptures.

Ruptures?

or Ruptures?

We'll put you straight to work!

Trust me, when you can fly a rupture, you don't need a corp.

What i suggest is you roam around a busy lowsec area, Caldari/Minmatar is usually where i used to roam around. You can find a whole variety of idiots to kill there, and with a rupture i'm sure you'd have no problem soloing around there at all.

As for pvp corporations, i started off in TSBS in Stain 0.0, and i learnt how to play eve by diving in the deep end and hoping for the best. I've always recommended that newer players do this, so they will learn the hard way, but quickly.

Hope it helps

If he is truly looking to find somehting to do every time he logs in then FW is the place for him. you basically can log in and have targets to shoot at 2 jumps away. That's how amarr vs minnie was at least..

or you can find people who are living in your low sec...who are friends with most of the residents in the area, and find something to do nightly and with an alliance who dont suck :D (lol j/k - just a fun aimed jab at some neighbors)

Apparently he was looking for a job, had one (moving to losec with the rest of the corp) didn't do it and got fired for not doing his job. Sounds reasonable to me.

This would be the problem. I have never even seen this guy online, well I think I did last night butIm not sure. I always have stuff for people to do, and even if I didn't, if you can't think of something to do in EVE, its not the game for you, sorry.

I will buy or take all your stuff if you want to leave the game though :)

i agree with your first part. the guy only takes a minute to try to see whats going on. EVE is all about planning...nothing ever really happens the very minute you log in (usually).

yikes, apparently I offended some people and embarrassed myself with this post. I want whoever to know that LOOB is great company, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with the corp- but coming back to EVE and thrust into the middle of wars I wasn't equipped for was just offsetting, i felt detached and figured i should go for a change.

Theres nothing wrong with being new or unsure, and you should always ask and let people know you need a hand. I think what Kron took objection to was the fact you aired some dirty laundry in public. Tis not the done thing, old boy.

Try giving people more than a minute to respond to you and learn the value of personal initiative (ie YOU go do something and see if people want to do it with you when they log on and ask what's up).

This was my feeling when i first started. Problem is low-sec you need to be able to fly a battleship well to be able to engage people at will otherwise your spending far to much time hunting bads down in belts or you cant engage at all b/c of gate guns.

id suggest looking for a corp in 0.0 - faction warfare - or red versus blue. They all have their benefits and disadvantages give them a look see what best suits what your looking for.

Unfortunately there is no quick fix undock and pvp anywhere. That died in 2007 imo.

gl on your search!

I'm with the Purge guys here-never found any of us remotely creepy lol-We support each other on a daily basis & don't immediately dock up as soon as a stranger arrives in system. You might want to widen your circle of friends. Laughing
