Hi

It's hypothetically possible that I can at some point in the future convince one or several of my friends or relatives, who tried EVE briefly, to give it a second go.

It is, however, my impression that new player experience, tutorials and so forth, have improved drastically in the last couple of years (nevermind compared to back when I started playing over 4 years ago!).

Some of these friends who might give EVE a second go are not very tech-savvy. If they start over with new accounts and characters and so forth, everything is fine, but if they want to reuse their old characters, I'd like to be able to tell them how to reset all tutorials so that from that perspective the game treats the character as a newborn. What's the simplest way of doing that? Especially simplest in the sense of simple to explain via chat (MSN or in-game chat).

The actual tutorials are resettable from the ESC menu once completed, but they are ALL "enabled" by default, so unless they kept the same machine with all the settings from back then, all tutorials should be still enabled.

As for the tutorial agents and their strings of missions, there's 3 full sets of 5 career funnel agents for every empire, and I doubt he ran all of the 15 sets of career funnel missions already.

Just direct them towards some he has not completed previously.

Amarr - Missions are available in Pasha, Deepari, and Conoban.
Caldari - Missions are available in Akiainavas, Uitra and Jouvulen.
Gallente - Missions are available in Couster, Trossere, and Clellinon.
Minmatar - Missions are available in Hadaugago, Embod, and Malukker.

If I had played a computer game for a few hours two years ago, and gone through some tutorials, it'd all come back to me within a few minutes once I resumed playing, but more normal people will have forgotten almost everything in that timeframe , and so will benefit greatly from re-doing all the old tutorials. Yet they might want to retain their old character name.

Is there a way to do that? Keep in mind, it's not a need I have, and I don't want to experiment with my own setup. I want to help people who might potentially give EVE a 2nd go.

Yes... that's what they just told you.
Just have the returning player go to another station that offers tutorials.
A player can complete the whole set of them at each station on the list.
