Wow - I can't believe the epic amount of tears in this thread. The sheer amount of stupid and chest thumping is amazing.

Well I'm looking forward to the patch CCP - +1 from me. Keep up the good work.

The fact that the divisions have been changed from 20 to 3 is appropriate and now properly reflects just how boring and uninspired the whole missioning system is. I always knew the High Tech Connections skill was basically worthless, but its still disappointing to see it go. This is after all a Sci Fi game, right?

Still, its not a bad change. Just shows that Missions need a revamp at some point.

I had a very similar notion.

The mission system definitely needs a revamp. Missions are big part of the PVE content in this game. I like that some dramatic change has been made to the mission system. Unfortunately it seems to be a mechanical change, not a soulful creative effort. What could have happened is that this needed change could have been introduced with something greater, like an expansion into EVE Storytelling. Replace what we had with something better than a band-aid.

At the core of every iconic science fiction is a story.
We get a patch that dramatically changes the mission system and no PVE content enhancements.

There should be more effort on aesthetics and storytelling. Everything in EVE has grown a bit except for storytelling. EVE has a captivating back story that is best explored by reading the Chronicles and the Novels. Even though these stories are about EVE, they are separate from EVE in a sense that they are not being told within the game. EVE Online should tell the story about EVE Online.

I wonder, if there are to be dramatic changes to the mission system ... then why not make epic changes ... why not use White Wolf to churn out some amazing storytelling for EVE Online. Offer the gamers a new way to interact with EVE Online. Do something like create EVE Chronicles that can only be experienced by playing the game.

NOTE: I abused the word "Storytelling".

P.S.: I like all the changes this patch brings to the game. Nice one.

This entire year is nothing but nerf the hard workers patches and expansions. We ****ing built this empire and the people who failed hard cried their eyes out to CCP to help them. So instead of them using the existing game mechanics to win, LIKE WE ****ING DID, they get CCP to make stupid changes so they can win.

****ING PATHETIC!!!!

It is within basic human nature to find that most people detest a paradigm shift and get quite upset when their 'secured' and/or 'normal' space/situation around them is adversely affected by the enforcement of a new situation or norms by others without consultation. Hence the many tears every time CCP make a change!

The question is: Does CCP care... about the way they get your nerves on edge; about the way they force you to change your now accustomed style of gameplay; about the fact that they seldom listen to their players; about the way they make you download patch after patch simply because they could not get it right in the first place; about the way that they prefer to introduce cosmetic changes more than fixing bugs, and you will probably answer with an irrevoccable "NO"! CCP make a fortune out of YOU and will stop at nothing to ensure that this greedy trend not only continues, but improves at your expense!

What choice do you have? You have Hobson's choice (i.e. no choice at all), and will just have to live with it and continue to pay CCP every month irrespective, and so, to get yourself into a tizz and rant on the forum will only get you a heart attack at the end of the day, so my advice is to keep control, look after your wellbeing and self image and concentrate on the friendships you gain in playing an online game...This is much more rewarding than stooping to their level of complacency!

You will still only be able to scan down anomalies with the onboard scanner. So in other words the ship will be able to do the same as you could do with a single max sized probe before. I think that is a rank 1 skill at level 1 that is needed for that. Yeah make sure you get your 256SP back.

Agents quality change: Excellent, splinting the missioners concentration must be good for those hamsters.

-how will this affect some trade hubs like Dodixie where you could find the second best agent in Gallente space?

-impact on hauling/trading the raw materials from reprocess. More activity for those specific carriers or make other regions have stronger trade hubs? -the second one would be my favourite but it's up to players and related to their decisions. W8 & see.

Scan: Some seem already excited about this change with words like "sanctums runners be aware", I don't think so.
Overall good change -I'm not expert at all at using that tool but the range change I like it.
I'm concerned about this change for the ability to safe our systems more than hunting carebeers, this has always bean easy with probes and even an unbrained one know they must use gates to travel, nothing changes for low where small engagements and hunting are so frequent that carebeers are almost non existent but 0.0 carebeer paradise sure.

Different fixes: always welcome and good so GJ !

Sounds seriously prolonged downtime comeing up, better put few days long skills in training on wednesday night. Knowing ccp´s ways, downtime will be extended*fewmoretimes....

Atleast i can put my desktop to download that madpatch remotely from work. Will hate downloading large patches on mobile connection, even if i have unlimited mobile data plan.

Also about time for some of those changes. Just wondering if it takes years to fix simple bpo/bpc issue, then how long it will take to fix something that really takes some efford to do. :P End of universe?

So... CCP change the anom's in 0.0 because space shouldn't be uniform.

Now, all agents are uniform, excactly the same.

1 step forward, 2 steps back ?

Security status of the system your agent is located in is, and has always been, one of the most important factors in deciding your income level from missioning, so it's in perfect alignment with the anom changes.

What category will they be in now? What should i expect after the patch goes live?

To all the people complaining. CCP is not stealing your money. You are giving freely to a service you do not actually have to have or are forced to have. So if you don't like it, go play something else. Like WoW or Rift or any number of other MMO's available.

The point is, even with all these "bad" changes CCP make, you still play the game, because you know it is still better than any other MMO game out there.

So, quit or play. It's your choice. No one is forcing anything upon you.

Information on a pilot's standings towards NPC corporations is no longer visible from 'Show Info'. You now see the standings information between you and the other pilot and the factions you each belong to.

oh come on CCP you give us some awesome stuff then just absalutely RUIN it with this crap, why CCP, why in gods name did you change this????

viewing others standings helps folks find war targets by finding who they like to run missions for, which in turn allows us to check certain stations when thye aint turining up on directional this also helps predict where folks are going when we find them in space with our locator agents.

My eve career is supplying storyline agent stations with ore to be purchased by missionrunners in station. Are storyline agents still going to be used? .... and the ore they ask for in exchange for implants?

in order to compensate for JB nerf's feature that prevents capitals from entering cynojamed staging/living systems of allainces, those aliances as a compensative defensive measure will be forced to gain more weight (bloat) in numbers and strenght to prevent possible potential atacking force, current allaince sharks coprising from 3000 to 6000+ members realy do pose a threat, and such change would only make "who's fatter race" to accelerate.

Smaller allainces just got a big d**k up teir rears from this, making their life even more miserable, giving them even less breathing room. This is on contrary to CCP's policy to lessen the blobz0rs.

Okay.. okay... very nice. Now. How about

- Show Info window has been reorganized so that related information is next to each other and more intuitively laid out.

- When opening the fleet finder, when you press "Find Fleet" on the screen with two large buttons, the tab that comes up automatically does a search for fleets using last used filters.

- Torpedo effect size has been reduced to be more in line with other weapon effects.
- On a side note, bombs now have the explosion effect look and size that torpedos currently have.

- Large railgun effects have been enhanced so they have a similar beautiful and meaningful look as beam lasers and artillery. (Especially with all graphic settings at max)

- When dreadnaughts enter siege mode they will continue to decelerate to zero velocity as normal. (or they quickly decelerate to zero velocity)

I'd make a long ass post about trying something out before slagging it off. I will simply point out that WoW's tutorials are designed so a trial acc can do them. It doesn't hand you racial Industrials and a hauler you can't train for.

Blueprints

•Unique icons have been created for Blueprint originals and Blueprint copies so you can visibly differentiate between them.

FINALLY... its only been what 6+ years.

But on another note, Please CCP, EvE online Doesn't need "Dumbing Down". the intricacies of the game and diversity in everything are what makes it interesting for some people. Removing Agent level, And connections skills... Thats quite a big change... But I'm sure you know what your doing :) After 8 years of play time nothing will usurp my love of the game.
