More precisely: I cannot talk to my buddies via Teamspeak 3 and play Eve simultaneously since I upgraded to a Radeon HD 5850 extreme from Sapphire and a power supply X-660 from Seasonic.

The sound in Teamspeak 3 stops after 20 seconds or so. When I minimize Eve it works, after I tab in again, it fails again after around 20 seconds. This happened since I installed the above mentioned components. Before that everything worked flawlessly.

I am confused. What does a graphics card and power supply have to do with sound? Can it be that there is a driver conflict somehow?
I am also unsure whether the problem originates from Eve or the drivers of the graphic card. I think I can safely assume that anything related to the power supply is out of the question, it is also one of the best quality ones avaiable.

Any general tips so I can start narrowing down the source of the problem?

Does your card have an HDMI output socket and if yes does it also output sound (either stereo or 5.1) over the same connection.

Some of the new graphic cards also come with sound drivers to drive the HDMI output socket and this could be what is causing the problem.

Yes it has one. Im gonna look through the driver for a disable option.
Edit: no options related with sound at all.
