Hi guys,

Lets hope im in the right place for this i have seen that TEST and Goons use a auth site to gain access to their VOIP and Jabber. I would like to know how this is done? is there anyone that can point me in the right direction?

Thanks

Its a custom built script that checks your api to see if your elegible.

It then uses TS3 and Jabber and Mumbles's API to inject characters into their respective databases.

A way to do it is as follows:

You make a script, where a person enters certain info, could just be API key, userID and name. Then the script checks if 'name' is part of the alliance (with belonging api) and if it is, it will add them to a user database with their info.

In the other end, you got interfaces to interact with your comms of choice (jabber, mumble, ts3)

You make these interfaces pull data from the database you made above, therefore allowing people who have registered to join said comms.

Some help if you want to get started yourself:

http://wiki.eve-id.net/Main_Page - this explains pretty much everything on the API side

http://wiki.eve-id.net/Yapeal - is an API frame you can chose to use, it makes the API side of things a little less messy =)

TS3 framework is available at teamspeak.com

I have never personally coded for jabber or mumble, so not sure how that would exactly be done, but I know mumble has a webinterface / framework you could possibly interact with that.

Furthermore, there is a lot of great stuff out there already, perhaps just use some of the existing?

For forums, there's scripts for PHPBB, SMF1 and SMF2 (Beta)

For TS3 there's a script (check these forums)

So you could chose to just take those 2 and interact them with one another (I've done that in my CMS, where TS3 is connected with SMF user database)

Best of luck, and feel free to eve-mail me with any question!

/Fred
