Greetings,

I have finally decided to give a go to a project that has been in the back of my mind for a while now. I've always been a big fan of the various EVE community podcasts and thought it might be a good idea to start one focused on web and application development surrounding EVE.

This is something that I'm trying out to see how it goes. I don't know how much interest there will be in it. The pilot episode is just short of 20 minutes. If anyone is interested and has some time I would really appreciate it if you'd stop by and check it out, and hit me up with any comments or feedback.

You can find it on my site, which I have just started developing, at http://www.ggenesis.org. Be warned though that it is a very HTML5 heavy site so as of now it won't be well supported in older browsers.

You can also snag the podcast directly at: http://www.ggenesis.org/podcast/NEGenPilot.mp3

I hope you enjoy.

Awesome, I will look for you over the weekend.

By the way the podcast is now on iTunes for those interested. I'm planning to do episode 1 either Wednesday or Thursday of next week.

Hi,

I've listened to your podcast and must admit it has potential.
Here's what I think;

Positive:
* Idea is good, concept needs a bit of work.
* Your voice is easy to understand, you talk exactly at the right speed.
* Bi-weekly show is perfect.

Negative:
* Your microphone should be set louder compared to the music.
* Music is to short, would like to hear at least 20 seconds of a certain song rather then only a few seconds as spacer.

I hope the main focus will be more than giving developers the chance to promote their products; basicly I hope it will include like changes aswell, not just from the CCP API, but also from the different products as well as reviews on new (upcoming) products / mods.

Greetings one and all.

Episode 1 is now posted on the site http://www.ggenesis.org or can be downloaded directly in mp3 form at: http://www.ggenesis.org/podcast/NEGenEP1.mp3. It should also be available on iTunes shortly.

This is a very short episode, about 10 minutes, in which I discuss some of the feedback I have received and talk a bit about the EVEDev website as a resource. Quite honestly I wasn't as pleased as I hoped to be with the end result this week, but rather than scrap the episode I decided to release it and keep in mind how I'd like to further improve for the next episode. Regardless, I hope you enjoy.

Hint: Podcasts limiting your auditory to people who either native speakers or fluent enough to understand language from listening.
People who don't know it enough, don't know at all, or even simpler - impaired... they are all left out.

I was spreading the news about your podcast on twitter, some of them were wondering if you had a RSS feed for it

The next episode of New Eden Genesis is out. This is part 1 of a 2 part series focused on designing and creating a new website for EVE. It is intended for the person who wants to create a site and has never done so before, and isn't sure where and how to start. I'd like to think that there is some good information for those who are a bit more experienced as well.

Episode 3, the first part, focuses on the design process. The second part will cover the actual development. It's about a 20 minute listen.

New Eden Genesis Episode 4 is now out. This episode talks about taking the first steps in actually setting up your EVE site and it focuses on doing so by setting up a content management system, in this case, Joomla! I was hoping to also cover the setup of forums with phpBB in this episode but it just got way too long. I will be covering that in the next episode.

You can get the podcast at http://www.ggenesis.org or download it directly from http://www.ggenesis.org/podcast/NEGenEP4.mp3 or you can subscribe to the RSS feed at feed://www.ggenesis.org/podcast/feed.xml

As always, comments, questions, and feedback is always welcome.
