I wonder, what kind of normal maps are used. Im pretty sure they are not "screen" nor "world space".
But I cant really seem to figure out if they are "tangent space" or "XYZ". With both options they somehow
look wrong. Also tried with flipping red and green channels as well as swaping both.
(3dsmax)

Both file systems are the same for the normal texture:

This might help you out

You might want to try creating your own normal map using the diffuse texture map. Crazy bump etc.

You just trying to create uber screen-shots? Or animation?

It's neither, they use a custom channel mapping. The Normals have an inverted Z value as well as one of the channels being used for specular. You should be able to figure it out if you look at the histogram.

Thanks this helps a lot.
Im not sure if the overview is 100% correct.
Taking the green channel as X and the Alpha Channel as (red) Y
still doesnt seem to work well (Still missing the Z component).
But, taking the Blue channel as Z
wich is supposed to be the specular channel, seems to work well,
at least for the Hel Model.

Im currently working on a Matte Painting.
Some sort of "Hel early prototype Factory".
This is a very early, low detailed preview.

Looks nice...but I would recommend you do not post a link to a private folder directory file structure, so people can look at your personal files?
