Hello again everyone.
I'd have another question for more experienced Linux users. I'm currently using Mint 9, in case that makes any difference. As always, any help will be greatly appreciated!
Problem: When running EVE in the Wine emulated desktop to prevent crashes, each client is still being rendered when the wine desktop is minimized. As I rarely ever try to use two clients at the same time, but rather switch between them, this just eats resources without being useful to me.
I would like to make it act as if it was a proper full-screen client, that is no longer being rendered when minimized. That way, I could get full FPS / performance on either client when the other is minimized.
I've been trying to get the hang of this for a while now, but can't seem to find a solution that is easy to implement. One thing that would likely work is to set up a separate x-server for each client - but looking at the process, it's fairly complicated and I'd have to switch between x-servers and desktop each time I want to do something as simple as checking a note out of game. I'm wondering whether there's a simple addition to the command line that runs the game, that would make it act like the regular EVE full-screen version.
