When I undock or jump through gate everything disappears I have cinema view and cannot do anything even esc does not work. Have to actually kill eve process. ugh

System - Windows XP

same here with me. after jumping (cap, jb, gate)everything disappears. with 1.4 i could use esc to bring ui back. intarction was possible and everything worked. now in 1.4.1 esc doesnt do anything. i have to relog after killing eve-process.

im thinking about reinstalling the game, but if its a bug and it wont work with my system anymore, all my settings would be lost for nothing.

**** it!Confused

It would be very much appreciated if you would file a bug report including logserver logs

I don't know if anyone else is having similar problems, but the character customiser is basically unusable for me now. When I open it and my character's face appears, any modifications I try just result in the "updating" wheel spinning endlessly. I usually give up after 2-3 minutes of this. Sometimes it doesn't even get as far as displaying the face at all, just the spinning wheel. The options on the right hand menu are all there, including the new ones - I just can't use any of them. :(

It worked perfectly for me when first released - no delay at all in modifications displaying back then.

This happens regardless of whether I try to access the character customiser from inside a station or outside the game.

The game itself runs fine, by the way, although I am getting the flickering problem when starting the client.

I was in a lvl 4 mission today. I was active tanking. I got warp scrambled. Typical game play.

However, I was not able to use my heavy cap booster. I had 3x 800 charges in it and when I tried using the booster, I got an error saying it was trying to reload and to wait (happened to be warp scrambled at the time). I waited for a good 3 minutes. Nothing happened. Still waiting.... I decided to remove the charges to inventory (which worked) but when I tried to reload the charges I got the same error message. After another few minutes my shield and cap were gone... my raven's shield collapsed, then armor, then structure. I WAS able to kill the warp scramblers but right before I could warp out I lost my raven due to this bug- the heavy cap booster reloading issue.

I don't know if its part of this whole buggy 1.4 patch but its irritating to loose a battleship for something as stupid as not being able to use your heavy cap booster...

Havn't read through the complete thread yet, but have noticed a possible bug since the 1.4.1 patch:

When using the context menu to warp to moons (right-click->planet->moons->moon ## -> warp to) you don't always warp to the moon you have chosen in the context menu. Tried this in a low sec system the other day, warping to moon 1, you land at moon 1. All fine.

But moon 15 warps you to moon 8! Moon 13 to moon 5 etc etc. It is confusing and potentially lethal, might land you on a hostile POS by mistake!

Anyone else having this problem?

Running Win 7 and 1.4.1 client (before latest patch). Have not re-verified this problem. Have filed a petition though.

Downloader VERY broken in the 1.4.2 patcher.

I had somewhere between 15 and 20 TRIES to download the patch before it finally completed the download.

EVERY TIME it would go into a mode where it claimed it was downloading at a rate in excess of 1 BILLION MB/sec for ballpark 30 seconds, then it would just appear to HANG for another half minute or so, then it would go to the "patch" process only to have the patch process abort with an error "download process not found" because the downloaded flaked out.

Trying to patch again would invariably start from ZERO, rather than the usual "resume where it left off" method.

Download speed was also VERY VERY VERY VERY slow - often in the 3 to 5 KILObyte/sec range, rarely getting at HIGH as 10 kilobytes/sec.

4 HOURS to download a 12ish meg patch is insanely bad.

IMO the whole 1.4 Incursion thing has been a total waste of time, I have yet to see ANYTHING from it I would class as "better", but I've lots a total of 3-4 DAYS on the patches due to repeated issues with the patchers, and have lost track of how much training time I've lost 'cause I've spend a LOT more time unable to get into the game than "server downtime extended" estimates.

Greetings.....It seems that the text in the chat windows has an issue still. The characters name from a new post runs over the last line of the previous post. Not all the time but quite often.

Hey everyone!

The people reporting this aren't crazy (at least when it comes to exploration sites). There is currently a bug which effectively means that TQ "runs out" of exploration sites the longer time passes. They then re-spawn at downtime, and the process repeats itself. This should not affect all types of sites, so if you're running anomalies in upgraded systems, it should not be an issue.

We have a fix for this, which is still pending testing. Hopefully we'll have it ready to go Thursday, if not, then at the earliest possible opportunity next week.

Thanks for all the feedback and bug reports

You know...Faction Warfare has had downtime dependent plex respawning since Day 1. Now, I have no idea whether there is any shared code or related code between FW plexes and this current exploration problem, but just in case there is, would you mind checking whether your impending exploration fix would fix FW too?

In regards to the patch notes "fix":
"An issue with the text in chats not wrapping properly has been resolved."

- It has not been resolved. In fact, now, for me, it is persistently consistent in overlapping the first typed line of any chat window, and continues to do so throughout all chats. (Tested in 9 chats since 1.4.2 upgrade)

ALSO:

- PI survey work will randomly "lock up". The event occurs sometimes when selecting an extractor and clicking "Survey". To which it does nothing. If you attempt this about 3 or 4 times, the client locks up and then the process ends itself.

- The "HUMMING GATE SOUND" in missions seems to more persistent in "continuing to make its sound" stick with you no matter if you are near one, travelling, jumping to new systems, and even when docked. [Only work around is to ESC and turn audio off, and then on again... which clears all sounds.]

- Glad fittings feature "seems" to work now, but seriously: 50 fits only?? Not good for practical in-game application and usage.

- Still an unresolved/unanswered bug report and issue: The Charon freighter is listed with a warp speed of 0.75 AU/S. It is actually slower. When in warp, the display of distance travelled to warp bubble collapse NEVER changes the last 2 numbers of the 3-digits after the decimal point. If the distance counts down as: x.x33 as a constant in flight (where the "33" never changes), then it is not travelling at 0.75 Au/S. It is travelling at 0.70 Au/S.

PC Client

CANNOT EDIT existing post in a forum thread.

Therefore the following additional issues are being added in a separate post:

- Cannot post to forums via editting or quoting.

- POS's and their LABS are "misbehaving". Those who have proper access via corporate standings are now being denied with a return note window of: "The filters have produced no result" EVEN THOUGH they can see and select a lab. Once lab is selected it goes "funky" with denial ineptitude.

- And on an ODD note, randomly I will see a notice in a black box (in the usual DT clock countdown location) stating ""You were logged out of audio chat." ....even though I never logged in using any form of audio chat.

It looks like you're describing another issue, the wrap issue was that words would be split on apostrophes (so e.g. if you had "you're" at the end of a line it would be split in two when wrapped). You talk about overlapping text, can you please describe the issue in more detail. Thanks Very Happy

I think the overlapping text is an old issue. I get one where when you reach the end of you first page of text and it adds a scrollbar the last line of text will be cutoff until more text shows up in the window where that last line of text overlaps the next line.
I've also had an annoying text entry bug for a few months now (I think some time around the refactoring) and I never see people complaining about it. With any text in a text entry box in the game (i.e. chat windows, notepad, mail, etc) when you use the keyboard to move and select, if you hit "home" or "end" the selected text will tend to be the wrong half of one line (you will have the first half of a top line and then a break of nothing selected, then the entire next line.) The current state of text selection with the keyboard is essentially broken for me.
There are other ugly UI bugs that I see every single day that makes the game just feel sloppy and unprofessional. I'm no longer sure when which bugs started popping up, since I've kinda come to expect sloppy programming from CCP.

When sitting inside a POS that has a password set and does not allow corp member access, if my client crashes or otherwise disconnects, I reconnect sitting outside the shields. Basically it just expels me from the shields, an absolutely deadly bug. Started happening with 1.4.1, confirmed still happens with 1.4.2.

Ah, my apologies. I forget there are sometimes variously similar bugs to a single component in the source code (i.e., like the "composer bug" that prevents autolinking in corp details, yet is not seen (thankfully) in regular mail)...

I just noticed this now, but please look TWO POSTS above mine (#396): the gentleman describes it succinctly:

Originally by: Anixter Chrome
...It seems that the text in the chat windows has an issue still. The characters name from a new post runs over the last line of the previous post...

So, in "more detail":

All windows I have that start with an MOTD in them: whomever types "first" (since the moment of my own log in) is overlapped by the last sentence of the MOTD.

And regardless of whether a chat window has an MOTD or not: If I type something at any time, my first line is sometimes overlapped by the previous person's last line. And then that last line of mine is overlapped by the next person to type, and so on.

A "work around" I do all the time now is this:
It will fix itself if I resize the chat window(s) or slide the in-channel portraits/names list section just enough of a nudge left or right, which forces the chat window to re align all visibly existing text - thus re-aligning everything into a readable format (free over line overlapping).

Hope that helps you, CCP Bella Bee, hone in on the specific nature of this issue some of us are experiencing in chat.

The following issues are new to 1.4.x and still persist in the current patch:

1. There seems to be problem with the portrait rendering (see my portrait and pay attention to the eyebrows being rendered in front of the hair).

2. A couple people reported issues with the trousers that occurs when editing a carbon character. It seems to be fine when first creating one. The problem is that "tuck option 1/2" has the lower part of the trousers snap to the bones and "tuck option 2/2" seems to display what should be "1/2", i.e. the trousers inside the boots, not over them.

Beyond that, an older bug (#106779) that potentially leads to complete data loss in respect to the biography still hasn't been resolved.

Guristas mission NPC battleships are unable to hit, or hit for 0.0 damage using their guns/turrets against a stationary Golem. Bug number 109625.

I mention it because it looks like you all did some overhauling of internal queues and it might be a bug/side effect of the changes. (NPC ECM cycle intervals appear to be more consistent now, and NPC missile entries in the log file no longer state the who fired the missile but just print a generic message ("Wrath Cruise Missile belonging to Guristas Pirates hits you."))

Is anyone having this issue......

The space that my alliance just recently spent Billions of ISK upgrading so that individual members could make ISK and afford to PVP is no longer spawning any anoms worth the time to do. We are seeing a decline in logging in and activity and some people canceling their accts.

Is this a bug or feature?

CCP, in the 0.0 Space I live since you installed the new 1.4 Version we have lost four anomolies that we should be getting of our military upgrades. We have military level five and have all the upgrades. We should be getting 25 anomilies yet we are only getting 21. I thought this patch was only supposed to remove sanctums and havens from higher tru-sec space. Did you decide to reduce the number of anoms these systems get from their upgrades alltogether? What is going on? What are you doing about this?

The people reporting this aren't crazy (at least when it comes to exploration sites). There is currently a bug which effectively means that TQ "runs out" of exploration sites the longer time passes. They then re-spawn at downtime, and the process repeats itself. This should not affect all types of sites, so if you're running anomalies in upgraded systems, it should not be an issue.

Dear Soundwave,
How are things developing on the exploration and ded-sites issue? Could you get new code/ fixes testing yet and what do you think when we'll see TQ be back for good for us, who we scan ;)

Thanks for your respond!
