Rogue drones, sleepers, jove and sansha all sound pretty alien to me.

I was really happy when other races looked alien, now we all look human....

I do not approve.

Sleepers are believed to be an alien race, I'm sure there will be an expansion that will tell us more about them one day.

Right now Jove seem to be the most alien. Although they are technically human, the massive amounts of genetic engineering they have done is slowly separating them from us.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were actually the result of Humanity on the other side of the EVE gate after going 15,000 years without experiencing what practically was an apocalypse. After all, the EVE star cluster at one time connected to whatever cluster Earth lies in and the wormhole still exists despite being unapproachable. It seems reasonable that the wormholes that spawned recently could be related to that same connection.

this is exactly why they should bring the old eve intro back :)
Then people would have a better understanding of the eve universe and not ask stupid questions.

watch it here:

jovians are not aliens btw they are humans transformed by genetic manipulation.
roque drones are man made if I remember correctly. (If not exactly intentional.)
sleepers can maybe qualify.. but I'm unsure what the eve lore says about their origins.

If there were any when we monkeys came through the Eve-gate you can be damn sure they bolted post haste.

Mankind is the single most invasive and destructive life-form Earth has ever produced, would you stick around when a few billion of us little bastards came pouring into your backyard?

If you mean aliens as in "unknown culture", that'll be the Jove. But if you mean aliens as in "an entirely different species" than look no further.. You have Rogue Drones.

Sleepers are not necessarely extra-terrestrials. On eve's lore there are colony groups that went missing before the EVE gate colapsed.

Also, you have to remember that EVE's galaxy is less than 1% explored.

Most of you are dead wrong:

Sleepers are not alien they are high programmed machines with sentient life...

However Jove is an alien race, that was really active in the storyline of past eve.. maybe we will get to see it again and run jove missions, and get jove hats.. all until a few admin control jove kill a few people.. and everyone *****es about it and then they have to remove jove again!

I agree that the rogue drones would classify as aliens. Even though originally created by humans... they became sentient unintentionally and became a different species, completely alien to us.

Speaking of aliens... think the one's in Battle LA are nearly the best ever created by Hollywood... the idea of having a fu****' plasma rifle growing out of your arm sorta makes me all warm inside.

Off topic but so what.

Jovians are human, and were impacted the least by the collapse of the Eve gate. They retained much of their technology, and were several millennia more advanced than the other races by the time everybody achieved inter-stellar flight capabilities. They introduced capsuleer technology to the other four races. After the Amarr started a war with the Jovians, the Jovians swiftly and soundly defeated the Amarr, then retreated to now isolated regions in space, J7HZ-F and A821-A; the description of one of which reads, "Children, leave us be." (UUA-F4 is populated only by GMs and developers). They are currently plagued by "Jovian Sickness", a neuro-degenerative disease with no known cause or cure that all Jovians eventually die of permanently, even with the use of supposedly immortalizing cloning technology. It is thought that this disease could be a result of their extensive research and practice of genetic modification.

Sansha are space-zombies in a sense, regular humans that were abducted and mentally and genetically altered into Sansha Kuvakei's personal enslaved hive mind.

The Sleepers are (in obscure official game lore) speculated to be remnants of another human race that became an "upload" society, having their collective consciousness uploaded onto a vast computer network. It is possible that this was due to a plague to their physical bodies of some sort, similar to the Jovians. This same lore speculates that there is a remote possibility that Sansha could be working with the Sleepers to obtain bodily vessels for Sleeper minds, and that this is possibly how Sansha obtained the ability to generate secure wormholes anywhere on demand. This is from ISHAEKA-0016, which can be had here.

EVE is a game about humans being humans. Its almost too human. The races of EVE display very different cultures that do/did exist on Earth or current powers/ideals blown out of propursion or taken to the next level. The Amarr are like 1600s europe, dominating everything 'lower' than themselves. The enslavment is different from the way the Amarr did it, but still enslavement the same. The Gallenteans are more like modern political views of passivism and liberalism that has been growing in popularity for some time. The Caldari are the stereotype of capitalistic states. Having huge fatcats ruling over megacorporations that control everything. Infact its just communism with more money. The Minmatar are the survivers, ragtag group that survives despite a technological disadvantage. Can't think of the realworld equivalant to them but its there. The Jovians/Talocan/Yan Jung are a warning of the future of us humans. Today some groups do push for cloning and genetic manipulation of mind and body in the case of the Jovians and quickly adnvacing robotic tech inth e case of the Talocan. The Sansha are communism at the level of mind and soul, where your very thoughts are controled by a dictator.

Anyway thats my view of it. In my opinion aliens have no place in the world of EVE, for its humans just being human.
