Originally by: Brother KazUhl I still find it utterly adorable how most players think they are paying the salaries of the developers.
First of, you don't. Not even remotely.
Even if half of the EVE comunity would quit, CCP would still be here. The only thing that gets a cut if people unsubscribe is their budget... and guess what?
This will just make their progress slower, their hardware less cutting-edge than the competition and basically make them less of a danger to their competitors.
Yes, it is a given that eventually the whole of EVE could die of that but that is highly unlikely.
For one, EVE never had the immense player-count that a WOW had. Also they do not need them. They have been the MMO-Underdog for years and are probably good at working with a lower budget than Blizzard by now.
Face it, you have about as much impact on their salaries as you have on the salaries of your local policemen. You pay taxes yes, and in the end the taxes are used by the state to form a budget that gets used ... in part ... to pay the policemen, but rave and rant all you want, you will not make them get any more or any less money.
Same here, only that its the free market.
Why some people still cling to their hope that unsubscribing will make much impact is beyond my comprehension. You are a statistic. Deal with it.
If I get shot on the street tonight I am headline for a week tops and a statistic for the rest of my countrys time left.
Same when you subscribe or unsubscribe. You matter in the annual board-meetings as a tiny speck in the statistic that is either in Black or Red numbers. Thats about it.
And yes, I believe that a gaming company should listen to their customers, since a happy customer is a paying one, no doubt about that. ^_~
I just find everybody laughable that thinks that posting stuff like '****ing patch! Imma unsubscribe now ****wads!' will make anybody care in any way shape or form.
The only reasonable answer to that, for the developers, and I believe it was already stated numerous times is this: 'Too bad, can I have your stuff?'
So, get your heads outta your asses and use them. More constructive critique might get you your precious... whatever it is you are whining about, back in a future patch.
Of course I am just one guy and therefore my opinion is as good as the one above and below me. Still I feel generous and wanted to share.
BTW CCP-Staff... I hope you listen to the constructive parts and just **** on the nonsense-rants.
Thank you and good night.
As long as you keep posting, I never have to. Thank you! |

Sanctums being removed from some places. Well it's safe to say that not everyone share the same enthusiasm about the complex add-ons. As for being able to re-customize your character that's a nice feature. Let me express that most of us that have been playing for a long time are aware of the changes regardless of difference of opinions on how the new changes will impact everyone friend and foe alike. Although at times it may seem or feel like CCP is not paying attention to our woes, they are. Ladies and gentlemen remember everything takes time. The problem with lag and large scale fleet fights is still on-going, but is not ignored. Be patient. At the mean time...CCP...we are waitng. |

I'd just like to say Welcome to the Drone Regions.
There has been no equivalent of a Haven since the Drone Regions came out. Yes they have the highest true sec but they didn't have this to begin with. Also they didn't have the nice officer loots that so many have. And complexes in Drone Regions, any of you actually run them? Needless to say complex in other systems are much more profitable.
So anyone that thinks the Drone Regions will make out better than other regions are just being stupid and showing ignorance of game mechanics. In essence this brings most of the other regions down to the same earning capacity of the Drone Regions.
Now the question is are you as good as the Russians at using what you have?
Only things that remain is rebalancing moon goo (I'd love to see some sort of PI model carried over to the moons for this, something that requires you to be more active to make money...heck doing that maybe insurance on t2 won't be a waste :) ).
Second thing is mining needs to be made more profitable. Easy solution is to double the yield on all mining lasers/ships and double the cargohold of those ships. That would bring it up to about the same income level as a missioner/anomaly runner. (This would also make more folks interested in it and probably reduce botting.....folks are mostly against it when they find they can make more money running missions). |

Lol. On a personal level I don't really care about this change. I make my isk in high sec by trading and industry. It's just that I feel this change is bad for the game, as it would drive people out of 0.0, make the currently rich people even richer, and the currently not so rich people even poorer, and therefore less likely to be able to challenge the rich for their space. |

I dont think most of you actually understand the drone regions and all us "botters". 1. Contrary to popular belief, most players out here are not bots. 2. These changes are gonna create a large drop in the amount of alloys looted. 3. Less alloys should mean increasing mineral prices which means better money for miners. 4. The drone regions suck, cant make any isk out here!!!! ........lol suckers |

Well there are some real playsers but you have more than 50% of bots in this area. Can link you a tons af carriers kill if you want but that's not the place and the thread and drone region is not the only one affected by bots. |

Maybe some of you Idiots up north will start asking your alliances for percentages from all the moons. 200 tech moons times 7b a month = 1.4 trillion a month. Maybe that is why you don't get the cake and eat it too. Fools |

I do agree with you that contrary to popular belief there are not as many bots in the Drone regions as folks claim. There are far more bots in the North. After all bounty space is ideal for botters as you get your money just by shooting and that means if you safe up you still get your money. I'm not so sure it is going to create a large drop in alloys looted, there will be some impact don't get me wrong but I honestly believe the Drone Regions will be impacted less than other regions (that doesn't mean it will not be impacted). Depends. Less alloys will impact mineral prices for sure. However I'm not certain the impact will be as high as you think. It is much harder to make money in drone regions than other regions but its not impossible. It requires a lot more work than is required in other regions. At the same time if mineral prices rise your income will rise as alloys will be more valuable :). I've lived in Drone Regions before and I've lived in bounty space. Having lived in both I still believe that the Drone regions will be impacted the least game mechanic wise from this. The problem there is that the changes could hurt the ability of some to rent systems, hopefully XIX, SOLAR, etc will change their rent schemes to accommodate the new income levels, but that is a player mechanic not game mechanic. |

I believe this might force them to share more of it than they do now, that or you will see a decline in NC fleets. |

There's only one more thing I want from CCP (apart from all the other things) and that is an alternating/rotating downtime. Australians like myself are heavily handicapped by the current downtime schedule, where I live in Western Australia downtime is 7pm. I get in from work at 5.30pm to 6pm so there's not enough time available to commit to a 2 to 3 hour mission, and after 7.30pm there are other commitments such as family, housework etc. What is the point of paying a monthly subscription for a game you can only play on weekends? Would it really be so difficult for CCP to either move downtime forward one hour a day or have it alternate between noon and midnight (or whatever) every other day?
The only alternative to this which would be fair to a whole large nation would be to change billing practices to time spent in the game rather than per month. |

Fly safe.
Actually it does work. Not sure if it works as it should, but it work. The control centers are visible (barely) when you zoom in. When you click on the center it will show the whole network. I do admit that all the networks I've seen look very very odd. Somehow I have a feeling they are outdated and forgotten. As I don't think anyone forgets the planet...then it has to be some old data. I mean some of those networks look so bonkers that I have no idea what they are trying to do. |

perhaps you just need to update your drivers? I have an ATI card and i have no problem like that. The only problem i have is when i have a star (bright light) in my view then it seems to want to give me an epilectic shock as it starts flickering fast until i change my camera angle. |
