So i had my Ishtar cap stable and flew it well, eft puts me at 70% cap stable.

I trained Repair Systems V and it went to 6m drain, why would it make such a big difference? It's bugging me something fierce, any ideas? ~23mil sp

Thanks

Repair Systems decreases the sycle time of your reppers by 5%. So they repair faster, but use cap more quickly.

On a small ship like a frigate with not a lot of capacitor juice in the first place, such a difference can be exponentially larger than, say, on a battleship.

You speed up your Arm Reps duration time, so now it uses cap faster as a result as it cycles faster. But you get more REP per second.

That is all.

edit: You will just have to pulse it as needed now.

6 minutes drain is actually a long time...you should be able to take down incoming DPS significantly in that time easily...
Also, try swapping in a more efficient faction rep or afterburner, they often have lower cap reqs.

The reps on a ship are often the biggest cap hogs. 5% on a cap hungry mod may be quite a bit.

6 minutes is pretty long. I'm betting that's assuming perma-running everything, including neuts and AB? I admit I've never bought an Ishtar, but being a sentry/heavy drone boat usually means you shouldn't have a lot to spend cap on to begin with.

If you don't have a large capacitor battery fitted already, try one. They usually give more capacitor recharge then the cap recharger II.

Who gives a ****, unless you're going afk with it on. My mission boat sits at like 3 minutes and does fine.

To be fair it is pretty cool for speed running L1-L3 for standings with a nano fitting, now that MWDs work in deadspace.

If you don't want to change mods around for more cap, you can use a "Meditation" medium armor repper, it uses less cap that the T2 by longer rep cycles(same rep/s however). They are like 40M today.
