So Currently I've got a gallente PVP pilot from 2008 that I'm reactivating. Back then blasters and such werent so bad as I hear today.. I've got the ability to run tech 2 guns at a moderate pvp level. (Improved certificates).

I never ran missions with her in the past because I was mining to make money, but now I'm working my way to level 4's.

So..

Should I take the next 60 days and Train missiles to move towards a drake (The fleet standard) and a raven (the mission standard)? Or should I spend the next 60 days training for Heavy Interdictors instead (Phobos) and just mission with gallente ships (Mega/Domi/etc.)?

Well, it depends on what you want to do besides running lvl 4. You can train for missiles ofc but be aware that Gallente ships do not utilize missiles at all and Raven is not much quicker than Domi missioning I guess (except you go for the navy Raven).

I would advise to train Minmatar Bs to IV and mission with a Vindicator because you already have T2 weapons for that. Alternatively you can train up projectiles and use the Machariel. Would be quicker than training missiles because you have the supplementary gunnery skills already and even with T1 guns, Mach is better than Domi.

Minmatar/projectiles.

For one that gives you all those OP angel ships.

Two as mentioned your Weapon support skills will apply to projectiles as well.

Three it will give you a access to a wide range of viable PVP ships (which training for a Raven wouldn't since you wouldn't need HMs to train Cruise or Torps.

I could keep going but that should be more than enough.

This. The old "caldari - raven - pve - go" mantra is pretty much dead. The maelstorm is a beastly mission runner in it's own right now (even with a cheapass t2 setup) and probably cheaper than the raven to pimp since it doesn't require faction weapons or faction tank, just faction damage mods since you'll be using t2 ammo and you're getting an active shield tank bonus.

The mach is also every bit as amazing as people make it out to be. That said, a well-skilled rail/sentry dominix in caldari/gallente space missions very fast (pimped varieties run over 1k dps) so you don't have to crosstrain at all if you so desire... although if you plan to pvp much i'd really suggest getting those projectile/minmatar skills asap since they're vastly superior in most small gang situations and literally every fleet situation.

If you plan to just do missions, Gallente is sufficient. Any race is sufficient. If you plan to engage in small-scale PVP, Minmatar have quite a few popular ships, offering you the best bang for your cross-train effort. For large fleet warfare, Amarr or Minmatar battleships used to be the norm, and Drakes are gaining in popularity, but large fleet battles are about capitals and super-capitals nowadays, which will take you ages to train for (which means, they may be nerfed by the time you can afford to fly one).

So, tl;dr, Minmatar.

Im really liking the projectile idea... My gunnery support skills are all pretty much level 4. The Machrael seems sweet too.

I guess the question is when do I move over. I could realistically do it during level 3 missions by starting with a shield tanked projectile myrmadon with drones.. Then moving slowly to a typhoon by level 4.

Alternatively I could pursue my drone skills and make sure all gunnery support are level 4. This would raise me to level 4 missions by the time I was done, and I could start with a domi and move to a typhoon. All guns to all guns in terms of high slots. I wouldn't have any shortage with lack of missile skills during the level 3's. Once im making good money in level 4's I can start pvping in Rifters and move on from there.

No one (I know of at least) specs for MEM/PERC. You are going to have to bite the bullet for a while if you are in INT/MEM.

If you are in this stage, do all basic T2 skills to include Drones, Drone Navigation, Drone Sharpshooting, Scout Drone Operation, Combat Drone Operation, Heavy Drone Operation, Drone Durability, Drone Sharpshooting, Drone Interfacing, Electronic Warfare Drones.

Just bite the few-month bullet and max these. You'll be tempted to do something entirely else, but as with any really off-spec skill, it's easy to lose focus.

Like i said, who specs for MEM/PERC??? It's crazy, but drones gotta be done anyway... if your character is actually going to use them.
