Hi

I am having serious problems with the client, my ati 6870 get 94-99% gpu usage from a single client, and this problem only exists with eve. Anyone else have gpu problems? Btw, im on a recently installed win 7 x64 with the latest ati drivers

CCP said a fair while ago that they're working on making the GPU do more work so the CPU doesn't have to, as GPUs are much more powerful.

Whether they have started pitching this and gotten it working I'm not sure.

Is this persistent 100% of the time? e.g. from splash screen to playing about in space? or is it only in stations/certain places?

Its like a steady climb, and unrelated to what i do, atm i am sitting in a station and gpu is at 97%. The low demand of simple grafics such as found in eve should use only a fraction. I can play most games at 2560x1440 fairly easy, just not eve.

Welcome to Eve, where CCP doesn't really give a **** about the crappy performance of their client or real bug reports.

Ensure vertical sync is enabled; in EVE this is called Present Interval - Interval One.

Try an older driver version.

Remove any overclocks you are running.

Try toggling between Fullscreen and Fixed Window Mode
