ISKsense was a large-scale web service for EVE Online webmasters and advertisers.

Modelled on Google's Adsense service, it was a javascript-based advertising network which lets advertisers place adverts on the network, which includes sites such as EVE Metrics and EVE Files.

All payments for the service were handled, as the name suggests, in ISK. Incoming payments were driven by the API, allowing the service to be operated nearly automatically with only payouts to characters requiring manual processing by staff. Payments were made from advertisers to webmasters for every click that advertiser receives through that webmaster's site.

Ix Forres handled operation of the site and payouts were assisted by Rilcon.

Closure

In January of 2011 the MMMetrics Team announced the closure of key projects such as EVE Metrics, ISKsense, accVIEW.

When I read about ISKsense it was already shut down. Could anyone who participate in ISKSense answer my questions?

How much ISK did they pay for one click?

How many website did participate in ISKSense?

What was CRT like ? (click through ratio)

Do you think it's a good idea to start site similar to ISKSense? :) Is anyone interested in such site?

Although I didn't hear any response, I will try to make a replacement for ISKSense.

So far I developed simple affiliate program isk for traffic, with only possibility to sell traffic (buying traffic will be done later).
So, if anyone here have a blog, website, facebook page, etc - you can start earing ISK right now by putting link to eve-tools.org
Right now I'm paying 50.000 ISK for each new visitor and 20.000 ISK for returning visitor (although this may change, I'm trying to test whuch pricing method is the best for such programs)

What will be implemented in the future
- Adding more websites to the program
- More statistics and data on user panel (daily, monthly, bouncing rate, etc.)
- Better filtering of bouncing visitors

This how it will work for people buying traffic:

  1. Add your website to the program

  2. Set prices for redirecting visitors to your site

  3. Donate money (it will be automaticly read from the API)

  4. Watch your statistics

This how it will work for people selling traffic:
  1. Get list of websites willing to buy traffic

  2. Select offer (offers) you like the most and put links on your website

  3. Earn ISK while you all offline

I'm open for any suggestions and feedback :)

EVE-Kill had an income of ~50m a month form isksense, this was back in 2009 where we only had around 600 killboards..
And now we have around the 4500..

But yeah, not alot of isk for that amount of traffic Razz

Yea, that doesn't sound much :P

How many clicks per month (in ISKsense) did you have in 2009?

I got a service planned that could benefit greatly from this, and I believe it could be mutual.

So a +1 from me :)
