When you have a production facility that has it's white "fullness" ring filled and flashing, does that mean there is too much incoming stuff for the factory to handle? What exactly does that mean?

The white ring indicates how far a node is through its cycle. When a processor has a flashing white ring that indicates that it is waiting for matterials.

Yeah, double click on the facility and it will show you how much stuff it's got. If it's got 100% for everything and it's cycle is moving (note the cycle scroll bar) then you're good to go. If it has partial amounts for anything - then it's waiting for materials - and you can see which ones. If you're extraction process is running but the ware house it is putting it's product into is empty then you're just waiting for the extraction process to produce more stuff. If the extraction process is off ... then you need to do something about that.

A lot of what you have to do in PI is figure out how to keep your processors and factories going. You want to try to keep enough materials flowing in the pipeline that they don't shut off. Each unit has a cycle time and an output per cycle - which may vary with other factors. You need to fool with them until you understand what is going on then adjust things so that you keep your processors and factories going.
