So when carrying ammo around what should i have for more effectiveness one type of missile or a combination of different type of missiles?

Lets say im in a Caracal, would i hit my targets harder if my ammo only consists in Bloodclaw Light missile or would i hit them harder if my ammo consits in a combo of all missiles like Sabretooth(for shield) and FlameBurst for armor.?

help?

It depends on what combination of resists your target has.

For missions, read the mission guide it tells you what damage type to use.

As a general rule, it is a bad idea to mix ammo types. With the Caracal, you should use bloodclaws/scourges unless you have a specific reason to use something else, because the Carcal gets a bonus to kinetic damage.

For NPCs, use the following:

Angels: Explosive (Pirhanas)

Serpentis: Kinetic

Gustistas: Kinetic

Sansha: EM (Sabretooths)

Blood Raiders: EM

Mercenaries: Kinetic

Once you have Caldari Cruiser 5 (or Batlecruisers 5 for when you're in your Drake), you might as well just use Kinetics for NPCs. The small amount of extra damage you get for using EM missiles vs Sansha/Bloods isn't worth the bother of changing ammo IMO.

On a Kinetic bonused ship (Caracal, Drake), I use Kinetic missiles for everything other than EM weak NPC, as they tend to have a high Kinetic resist.

On a rate of fire bonused ship (Raven), all missiles get the bonus, so pick the one the NPC are weakest against.
