Hello, i would like to ask you for an advice. In short, because L3 missions are not much profitable for me, i would like to move to L4, but my Amarr character is sub BS PvP (about 12 mil SP atm), and i donīt want to waste SP for Battleships and large turrets there. So i am thinking about to start a new account with a Caldari pilot and rush to Drake there (imo Drake with HM is easily accessible and will not take too much training time), and then do L4 as Harbinger+Drake multiboxing. And meanwhile continue training the Caldarian pilot into BS + appropriate missiles or whatever, and when i will be able to fly Caldari BS well and effective in L4 alone, i would transfer the Caldari character to my 1st account, stop his training and use him only for L4 (read making money), and my Amarr pilot would indeed continue with training and i would use him for PvP only.

Is it a good idea?

(Sorry i know my english is terrible, but i hope you will understand me)

It could work, if it suits you.
Just remember that once you're transferred the characters to the same account, you won't be able to be logged in to both at the same time. That might be a hassle.

Bigger issue is that you cannot train both accounts at the same time.

or you just do some pve with your pvp char as both activities use combat skills so you wont be realy wasating any time by having them both on the same char. and by training only one character rather then balancing two you will have a much higher skilled and capable character rather then 2 mediocre characters

You could also opt to train a T3 cruiser for L4s, although the Legion isn't the best for that. But as Amarr you may use missiles on your Vengeance, Curse or Damnation anyway ..

Welll ... I've got lots of other accounts ... so ... *shrug* ... but it seems to me that you're putting a limitation on your current character that really isn't necessary. Perhaps I just don't understand what you're planning on doing with all those skill points you don't want to put into battleships ... ???

It's your call.

You might also reconsider combining accounts and retain the second account. Especially if you can 2 Box them. Then you could use both of them for your missions and possibly both of them for PVP ... though I don't have a lot of experience with that ...

I've really gotten a lot of use out of teaming up on missions. If they're really easy, I put one guy in a salvager and have him clean up. If they're got a lot of ships in them or they're a little harder I just have one guy do a Keep At Range on the other guy then have that guy set the course for the squadron. Having about twice the fire power cuts through missions like Blockade pretty fast instead of having one guy kill all those rats. I've also got some use out of dissimilar weapons as the rats don't tend to use e-war against both of them. If one guy gets in a jam the other guy can help out. You can have a nice mix of drones, missiles and lasers with Caldari and Amarr - as the Amarr tend to use more drones. There's also a Tank & Gank tactic you can use where you put a lot of armor on the Amarr guy - let him get all the agro - and then have the Caldari or a drone boat come do a lot of the killing.

So - having two guys run a mission works fairly well. The biggest thing you've got to watch for is keeping them targeted when you're killing the lighter ships.

I've had both guys salvage at the same time but that works less well as I can pretty much keep one salvager so busy there isn't time for the other ... as much ...

*shrug*

its a great idea, if you take into account what has been said above, mostly the

Cant train two characters at the same time
Cant log into both characters at the same time...

so yes, ur PvE alt can make money until you need to pew pew
then ur PvP toon can be logged in and go pew pew

Totally not worth it. The only skills you need to train are Amarr BS 3 and Large Energy Turret 3. That's couple of days training and you will manage L4s no problem at all.

You should have good support skills anyway if you do PVP in sub-BS hulls.

Wait, are T1 guns really enough for L4? I hear everywhere T1 energy weapons suck and T2 are needed to be decent? Other than that, my support skills are no problem for anything. I also thought about to train Caldari Cruiser on my Amarr char and just use Drake for L4 (as i have BC V). But if L4 could be done with T1 Energy Turrets, hmm, it may change it all!

Meta 4 are equals in terms of dps with T2; T2 just benefit from weapon spec (10% max) and can use T2.
Everyone and their mother vouch for T2 lasers because scorch (T2 crystal) is good enough to be broken with hybrids for example T2 ammo is so bad it's definitely not worth using in missions (use faction instead), not to mention that hybrids are the runt of the litter atm. any way.

Yes, they are completely enough. Just use meta 4 large weapons (they are very cheap anyway). Your tank should be T2 anyway.

Get Abaddon with 8 meta4 beams, cap rechargers in mids, and 1 rep + 4 hardeners + 2 heat sinks in lows. CCC rigs.
Or Apocalypse with 8 meta4 pulses, cap rechargers in mids, 1 rep+4hardeners+2heat sinks in lows and locus coordinator rigs.

Just refer to eve-survival not to aggro all rooms in more difficult missions.
