One important requirement in our approach to Captainís Quarters is that none of it will get in the way of a veteran player. You can dock, repair and refit your ship, dump your cargo into your hangar inventory and talk to agents with the same ease as you currently have.

Ah... out of idle curiosity, on a completely unrelated note, are any of the PI interface designers going to be working on the captain's quarters?

They are in charge of the shower and toilet fittings.

It will take 11 clicks 3 drags and a 30 min cycle time to flush the toilet. (edit) Oh and if you forget one step it will simply drop the poo on the floor in a pile and there will be no in game way to recollect and dispose of it.

The big question remains. Will you be able to disable it.

Currently my clients run with "Load Station Environment" off and this tiny little performance gain counts for a lot when I'm working in other windows.

WiS will reduce my play time if I'm forced to load it.

on one hand they will make the new station be you on foot. this is GOOD. if walking in stations was another right click menu most players wouldn't even find it untilla few months in. excell in space is not fun.

On the OTHER hand, just like now, the station enviroment will mostly still have the option to just... well... be off. like ex cell old school win 3.1 computer game style.

which is terrible design btw, but if your that kind of player it will be there I'm sure.

However black screen, and on foot should be the only two options.
