do you work for CCP ? did they pay you to post this ?

1. This game does not work with ati graphics cards hopefully 11.2 fixes that just released today.

2. if they deleted everything up to need for speed changes i would **** in my PANTS all ccp has done in the past 2 years is RUIN a Great Game

3.Frankly after pi changes and the increases in costs I can only imagine a 25% drop in subs after that disaster and ccp keeps ignoring thinking it it will go away or get better on its own ROFL MORONS=)

That's really disappointing if they choose to do that.

It also seems they favor the Amarr, since they are the only ones with their own racial accessory (head plates) to distinguish them from the other races.

you been trolled, son

(it's photoshopped)

It appears you are correct. I just logged onto Singularity a bit ago and re-did my character. There was nothing in there about tattoos and plex credits.

Now that i have seen nullsecers tears as regards Incursion? YES, better than ever.

Shansa means this game is very changed.

Much more so than what I think most realise.

I think it is much harder now to run bots in null, this should have serious market repercussions pretty quick.

Overall Eve is better, however there are many areas still WAY behind, such as corporate and alliance interface. The majority of corp/alliance thefts are due largely to crappy interface and frustration which lead to reduced security, which CCP calls a feature, mocking the player base.

1. I use an ATI graphics card, and eve runs beautifully.

2. I would have to disagree, but to each his own.

3. PI is way better than it was before IMO. Also, a 25% drop? Honestly?

I would also like to add that CCP is (ridiculously) slow on making changes/tweaks/improvements but I have a hard time believing they blatantly ignore issues, because it wouldn't be in their best interest.

Only issue I have with PI is them making it too easy and engaging and now like everyone's gonna do it lol so any money you would get from it is gonna bottom out fast

To me, EVE peaked with the release of Apocrypha.

It was the last expansion that felt like one. And it was after the disappointing Empyrean Age and Quantum Rise "expansions" which added very little except Faction Warfare (which sits in the game broken and unfixed).

Dominion was a dubious change to Sov which had NO EFFECT on the blobs and mega empires which undid the earlier gains on lag and Tyrannous introduces nothing more than a ******ed mini game that exists on planets, while making the lag even worse.

Incursion is more of a punishment than expansion. Incursions aren't worth running, are nuisances, and the supercarrier reward gives you the worst supercap in the game, the great flying turd...

Game has fallen from greatness imho. I wouldn't be surprised if it bounces back but right now the PvP end game is nothing but lag infested cap\super cap blobs which usually stops more fights than it stops. Either that or you have jump bridges ... which also usually stops more fights than it stops.

Players obviously agree :

http://www.eve-offline.net/?server=tranquility shows that the average PCU is dropping and has been for 9 months. Yes there have been new records set when the SP refund happened/etc but those are one-offs.

http://www.mmodata.net/ shows Eve's subs falling quarter on quarter since Summer 2010.

Bots, blobs, lag. That sums Eve up these days.

Eve was clearly on it's peak in 2001 anything done or written about it since then has only dragged it further down. It's been dead since 2003, there's only bots that write on the forum.

With macros running rampant with pretty much CCPs consent and by now roughly 250-300 supercaps produced each month I would say eve has known better times. (That is right, the supercap losses from NC vs DRF are equal to supercap production of two days or so, considering vast majority of supercap production is done by the NC and DRF I would say they then need 3 days, maybe 4 in worst case, to replace them all).

I, too, enjoy supercapitals online. Being forced to grind up 15b isk to stay relevant is p fun. Also having the carriers and dreads I trained a year or so for be rendered useless for PvP is p cool too, bring on the undefended structure shooting!

Yes, I like it... but I wish they would have given me back my racial hair and at least some tattoos.

They will, for money

Amarr cant have glasses and have less hair styles to choose from and look generally ugly.

The game was probably its best when the Drone Regions first opened up and we had a land scramble.

It would be nice to have another such scramble if they'd add more constellations and regions doubling the size of 0.0 and wormhole space.

Yes but I wonder if it has peaked.

I still miss being able to stack mwd's though.

Keep them coming CCP and you'll make us very happy. This change in patch policy is more than welcomed! Excellent job, fix all those small things and EVE will be greater than ever before.

Oh and yeah the game's amazing. Definately looking forward to Incarna. CCP if you don't include Poker or some EvE-a-fied version of it I'll come hunt you down, kay? Kay.

Historical perspective :

I was AFG from 2005-2008. I biomassed the old characters in 2005 and then made the mistake of coming back on the 1st December 2008. New account, new char, etc.

I found a hugely improved game. Ships had been buffed so they didn't get alpha popped so often; contracts worked unlike the escrow crap before; new ships; salvage; rigs etc etc. Seemed good through 2009 then Dominion hit. I have mixed feelings about that as it was a huge buff to minnies and a "we can't work out wtf to do with sov" boredom patch for the so called "end game". Lag problems from coding bugs killed enthusiasm for Dominion really.

2010 - the year of "we're busy on other games and nobody is listening".

2011 - who knows. Unless the tight focus on maximising revenue stream is ameliorated then I suspect a lot of people will drift away. May as well play your own computer as play against bots.

There are still plenty of problems, but since I started in 2007, yes, it's the best it's ever been.

Yeah but that was due to the hyper-enthusiastic and comparatively small playerbase. Far as game mechanics go it was nowhere near as good as it is today.

YES

also 2004 was good IMO
and 2003 was fun because of how new and mysterious everything was.

But now...still great game, but it needs to slow down after Incarna comes out. Look at the game as a whole and see what needs to be done to make it work better. For instance, the fact that a ship can uncloak and enter warp before I can even begin to target it while I get the message "target is invulnerable" is absurd. The fact that things like that are still in the game amazes me. And no it wasn't a shuttle or pod. It should have had an align time of about 6 seconds...so yeah..terrible.

TRUE THAT!
EVE = BEST GAME FOR ME!

BUT, i'd like to see the devs and hamsters slow down after Incarna, and concentrate on all the small stuff like bugs, UI (POS, Corp, Alliance e.t.c.), and take a month free or something lol

I hate to agree with Tank, but THIS ^^^ The game had a raw edge back then, somehow the flaws made it more cutting edge. In comparison, it feels far too polished and over-balanced now.
