Seriously, this is amazing. This poor kid's cerebellum takes a hike sometime between the womb and birth, and he just keeps going. Cerebellum need not applyBy all normal measures he should not be able to breathe, sleep, or move, but appears to be developing just fine (if somewhat slowly) without all the brain bits needed to do those things. If you watch the video in the article, the poor scientist studying this looks absolutely baffled, and I can't say I blame him. Just goes to show how little we actually know about these things. Very amazing. |

This is actually more common than you might think and many folk with no brains at all go on to have long and well paid careers.
On a totally unrelated note I hear that the Metropolitan Police force are hiring again.

And how little we actually know for certain about it too. It's nice to have charts with imaginitive theorys and labels about what part of the brain does what based on observation but in a large part the brain is still the bodys mystery organ. We think we know how it works but the little devil keeps throwing us curves. |

Systemic redundancy ftw, amazing he's indeed alive and well. A bit slow in terms of development from what I read, but alive, which is the rather impressive thing.

Its quite common in Yorkshire. Us Lancastrians have been trying to alert the world for centuries. BTW that's quite real. She's honestly got no discernible brain. |
