the auto-dropping "into-containers" is annoying as all hell..

either KILL the feature (revert) or make an option for us to TURN IT OFF..

why? because half the time i can't even see what my mouse is pointing over because of windows overlapping.. and they ain't remembering how to re-open up every new time i log in.. so sometimes even the TAB we're supposed to be dropping onto/into isn't visible.. this is all just causing more complication and irritation..

also, eve broke an hour ago and i keep getting invalid packet/page call errors.. if i can't access my wallet or switch ships, why bother playing tonight? even though we're paying to play..

yea i just activated my free days and tried to use character creation after first getting a broken updat patch...aparently it was fixed but no trying to use character creation...and it doesnt work...stays on entering character creation screen loading part...and then when i try do something else it completly laggs up my system

whats wroung?

Systematic crash upon entering character selection.
Running Windows XP SP3
Tried different folders, drivers, graphic cards.
Tried to repair, reinstalled vcredist_x86.
You name it, i tried it.

This is what i get from CCP Log Server:

TriDDSHandler: 'res:/Texture/Sprite/Fluorecent.dds' in unsupported format (D3DFMT_P8)

Texture 'res:/Texture/Sprite/Fluorecent.dds' needs format conversion

TriDDSHandler failed to load texture 'res:/Texture/Sprite/Fluorecent.dds' - retrying with D3DX functions


Now that's 4 days without being able to play, opened a petition 4 days ago, you think it'd be top priority since it prevents people from playing, yet no response yet.
Several people with the same issues, all their petitions unanswered for days as well.

All these people have different OS & hardware, problem is on CCP's end.

Config: Q9550, 3.25 go ram (xp ftw), HD5770 x2.
Mounted on an asus P5Q Pro Turbo.

Pay & don't play, basically.

Edit1: 24 hours later, still no words from CCP, at least one more person with the same issue & again different system.
People's petitions on this issue still unanswered, even those sent as early as february 16th.
Still unable to play...

Edit2: Nevermind 70+ hours of skill training lost...
Could not activate PLEX on 2nd account since could not log in...

Dropping an item stack on a container should behave the same way as dropping in an open container window.

If the stack would exceed available storage, I would like to see a "set quantity" dialog pop up, instead of an error.

If container available space can't hold any single item from the stack, then an error message is acceptable.

Using a PC: I am getting a URL error when you are looking at the news sidebar in character selection screen. My in game browser is also not working nor are my char portraits loading. Any ideas?

These recommended but optional patches don't work. As in, I say yes, it downloads. it will restart the client and ask to download the optional patch. If I say yes, it will do the same thing, download it, restart and ask to download it.

Additionally, "Issue" (bug) #23 of my growingly unresolved list:

- Now the mail seems to have lost its memory just like the windows themselves. Ever since a corporate mail I posted just prior to DT for your latest patch keeps showing itself as NEW and UNREAD ... EVERY time I log in now. It's behavior is just the same as the windows for containers that I resize. Their resized memory lasts only as long as my session. Once client is closed, EVE gets amnesia... only now with read mail.

This one is driving me nuts, Cant resize ASSETS below certain width and its destroying my screen real estate.
Also while you are at it, why not make MANUFACTURING window resizable, the final one named "ACCEPT QUOTE?" with list of all materials and skills required where you press last OK before it goes into production. Ever since I remember that window had a static RANDOM size. It randomly opened small with scroll bars or autoresized to fit all the content (while still being non_resizable by the player).

No clue what is causing it, but my ship is "sometimes" (all the time, really) beginning to move of its own accord.

It aligns to completely random places, without my mouse even hovering over space, sometimes without my hand on the mouse or typing anything. As far as I can tell, there is nothing at all I could have done to make the ship move.
It also changes alignment at random. I tell it to align to a gate, do absolutely nothing, check back and see it's a few degrees off (or going in another direction altogether).

Would be very interested to hear if I'm the only one getting this, because slowly but surely I'm going nuts.

Problem is that at the login screen, keeps saying "server status unknown". Also the "news", "support" and "patch info" all saying "url error" so I think that my client can't connect on the internet properly..

Problem Solved.

The problem found to be in my firewall (zonealarm). Seemed that, for some strange reason, it didn't permit the new client to connect on the internet. Reinstalled it, and it's all fine.

overview bug: blues can show as neutral, have seen 1 case of -5. it seems to be worse than usual in large fleet fights with more than 1 blue fleet present.

i'm sure you're aware of this issue already as it is nothing new. however, i still think it's relevant and deserves some attention.

I still have continuous client lag outs.

It happens many times a day. I could have 3 clients open at the same time, and only 1 will lag out, or sometimes 2. Haven't ever had all my clients lag out all at the same time.

I have tried, repair.exe, doing a fresh install, made sure all my drivers are up to date (video, network, everything). I have made sure my router firmware is up to date and have a program monitoring the connection. No drop in connections have been detected.

I have also tested this at 2 other locations (friends home and parents home). I get the same problem at both locations. Thought it could be ISP, but they each have a different ISP. On top of that I have a very quick fiber connection.

I get this problem no matter how many clients are open. it coule be just 1 client or multiple. I monitor my tempatures and know that isn't the problem. I play on a laptop, but the other 2 machines are custom built and very closely monitored and maintained. Bottom line, I have been able to eliminate everything from the equation BUT the game/server.

A few corp mates of mine have the same problem as well. Is this a known issue to CCP? Is there something that I can do to help this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated as i can't mine, mission, or pvp at all right now because of these random DC's.

This is hardly an Incursion issue, as it's been well-known since the release of Empyrean Age in 2008 and CCP has done absolutely nothing about it since that time, so I'm putting it here:

1. Members of a militia with a high faction standing with their enemy are not fired upon by Navy NPCs.

2. Members of a militia not "directly" opposed to the owner of a plex they are capturing (i.e. Amarr for Gallente, Caldari for Minmatar, etc.) do not lose standing for capturing it.

3. Members of a militia not "directly" opposed to the owner of a plex they are capturing do not trigger reinforcement spawns.

4. Taken together, this allows specially-groomed alts to capture plexes in enemy territory with impunity.

CCP, fix this. It's been three years for ****'s sake.

This is happening to me also, and I have watched it happen to corp mates. Have seen it happen also when selecting target, click on guns and ship immediately turns and approaches the selected ship Shocked. Activating MWD while flying in a straight line also caused ship to move off at 90% angle.

Hey there

Running PC eve client

Noticed in PI that I am able to create multiple routs to the same facility, and if I have multiple routs running to the same factory. That factory will eat all the resources sent to it.

IE. If I have 3 routs of heavy metal sent (40 units each) to an advanced industrial facility. That advanced industrial facility will eat 120 units of heavy metal. (4o units by 3 routs)

Not sure if this is a bug or is intended, either way I just need to change the routs to the factory so that there are only 1 input of each resource.

8/3/2011 after 1.3 patch.

An issue with patching has been annoying the hell out of me for ages - and I get caught out every time.

I have three separate installations of EvE in three separate directories for the live server. ( I also have another three for the test server).

Typically I fire up my first account in the first instance, apply the patch, start the game, set up a fleet, check a few quick things, undock and start doing something.

Then I start up my second character in the second instance, apply the patch, not dowloading the patch if I remembered to uncheck the "tidy up" box first time around. Then I start the game and try to switch to my first active account to invite the second into the fleet - only it isn't there because the stupid online updater closes all running instances of EvE client instead of having the built in wit to only close the current unpatched version.

At this point a little cursing happens, then I log onto the the third account in the third instance, do the necessary, then when done log in to the other accounts and set things up again for my play session.

Can't deliver to a member's hangar from corp deliveries unless you have rented an office at that station. That is not how it used to be and it is a huge pain if you use corp wallet or corp contracts.

I Would like to Confirm these Problem, a quick answer would be nice if its a bug or a feature Wink , because its really anoying for a corp which trades a lot on corp wallets.

CCP's patch notes are consistently hit or miss, depending on the patch (and probably the project manager / author involved). This particular patch's notes look to be only partially complete as we all know that for every blogged change, five more are sneaked in under the radar.

^ This ^ = Big Issue. We do alot of buying through the corporate account out of Jita but don't maintain an office there. Need to be able to deliver goods directly to corp members, as it was before I-1.3.
