hmm seems to not let me download the patch...

Same so i'm grabbing a full client from:-

http://games.chruker.dk/eve_online/server_status.php

Hopefully it'll be compatible...

Er... The patch isn't out for like 1.5 hours from now... Or am I missing something?

Interesting... build 229699 is downloading right now from that site... might not be current... I dunno but if it's nearer than my old build then patching will be shorter at least...

There is good stuff in there, but this one just ****es me off:

* It is no longer possible to lose a ship to CONCORD by only using logistic modules (like remote armor repairer, shield transporter, energy transfer array, ...) or logistic drones. They cannot be activated in high-sec on targets with Global Criminal Countdown (GCC) or outlaws and they will be deactivated if the target gets GCC while being assisted.

Thanks CCP! Dumb down the game some more for the scrubs that are either too lazy or too ****ing dumb to even bother learning the mechanics and how the overview works.

Explain this because apparently you don't know why the rule was changed in the first place.

Why? I know why the rule was changed, I wasn't happy about that either. It is not a bug when it is a interaction problem between players and instead the players should instead learn the game and realize the consequences of aiding those with a GCC than that CCP starting to dumb down the game for assclowns that gets torched by Concord for not knowing what GCC is.

Oh my god. Please refrain from talking if you do not know what you're taking about.
Listen here mate. Billions and billions if ISK has been blown to bits because of GRIEFERS in Incursion exploiting GCC on logistics.
You make the logistics rep you, you shoot someone, all logistics die = 40/60 ships die with you.

Get it?

•You no longer need a shirt to make a portrait but simply require something on your top, either a jacket or shirt. Proper garments for the lower body and feet are required.

I guess they wanted sexyness in this game again ;)

I use bootstrapping to make a dual eve client boot.
I downloaded the patch on the wrong client for some reason tho, and it dint show the server status for TQ on either of the clients.
I had made a extra copy for the test server, and a copy for backup (you can never be to sure Cool).
And for some reason the patch downloaded on the bootstrap client got installed to the backup client Question

I can now see TQ is in testing mode and has 18 people on it working hard on testing the patch.

Ill get back to strapping a new client copy and making a new backup copy in the meanwhile, if someone could look into the patching issue it would be awsome.

Cheers

It's a shame I cannot patch somehow, if I try to log in all it tells me that my patch is incorrect, it doesn't pop up a download like it always does :<

Agree. They should not dumb down this. Just like real life, if the cops see you aiding a criminal, they will automatically assume you're one of them too. Common Sense.

When can we expect a fix for the newly introduced bug "Fleet window grows each time you make the fleet window convert into fleet mode (ie, when you join a fleet, the window grows by a inch upwards)"

Thank you for your continued service!

CCP,
Good work on all the bug fixes and there seems to be some very inpressive changes, but seriously......how many more times do we have to redo our character portraits? And i hope the bug has been fixed that leaves my screen blank,(except for the menus), when i log into the game after portrait creation? the only way i can fix it atm is to restart the program. dam annoying as you can imagine :( also, after 15+hrs of downtime in the last month...will players be getting compensated with anymore free skill points? was only asking because, that is alot of lost gametime.....apart from that....keep up the good work

any Germans can tell what was that? What is offensive about command centers?Laughing

Apparently it was called "Kommandoanlage" which is something like a communication system thingy.
But google seems to pick up some WW2 references to the word so i guess thats the reason they changed it. Befehlszentrale is the better translation anyway.

"There has been a slight modification to the character sheet to sort out some irrelevant information."

Your finally removing the unobtainable DED Connections skill from the character sheet??

Will the new patch download itself when i start the client?
Right now it is showing "Status : Incompatible (Version)". Or do I have to manually go and download myself later?

(sorry newbie question, it's my first extended patch)

Some interesting stuff in there, not least of which the changes to contracts.

Couldn't find a thread about this in Features and Ideas Discussion, so I thought I would post it here. Will this also include remote sensor boosters, tracking links and ECCM projectors?

I am assuming it doesnt. I am also assuming it doesn't affect people using neutral alts to logi and remote sensor boost people who are shooting on war targets in highsec as people use this to stop the rest of an alliance or corp from returning the favour as only the person being shot at can shoot back at the logi.

In a perfect world -- It would ask if you wanted to instll the latest patch. However, today - seems to be - not so perfect...

Go here and download the patch manually -

What if performing these actions on GCC flagged targets resulted in a dialog prompt explaining the consequences and asking if the person wants to get flagged? Seems like most illegal or unsafe actions have this type of prompt.

For those that are still unaware as to why CCP changed the mechanics as far as RR'ing global criminals in high sec, take a look at this.

LINKY

It has nothing to do with helping out the noobs who don't know what a GCC is, and everything to do with people griefing in Incursion sites and getting billions of isk popped for nothing.

Oh, I'd like to add, the one blue wreck in the middle of the first picture is the one guy that started the whole chain reaction off.

I agree wit dis guy hurr ^^. Deactivate the modules and give a prompt message! Then at least people have been warned, but can still suicide their A**es if they wanna.

Some fixes I'd like to see...

1. Address book watch list to actually update when people are offline.
Many times have I ran a locator on an offline war target.

2. Being able to repackage items stored in a POS Corp Hanger.
Things get very messy and having to take everything to a station to repackage is a little silly.

3. Drone bay dissapears when adding or removing drones.
I've seen this happen when using Orca or POS fitting array to change or add drones.
