She.

I don't troll, I appreciate your petty concerns though. With that said, did you actually have something to say or are you just trolling yourself?

That would be food for irony.

I recently flew around in lowsec with a buddy of mine to see if we could hunt down some easy victims ...

Like I said initially. We were looking for "easy victims" and that could, of course, mean transports and shuttles but we opted for some more challenging foes in the end.

There is currently a new (interesting) thread here in General Discussion that is addressing that very concern I brought up in personal form, so it seems I'm not alone in this.

Sorry to see so many ignorants jumping around here instead of contributing something useful though. It's truly sad.

I hope you're right, I really do. There are obvious signs that suggest otherwise though and until I've resided in lowsec, as I intend to, I think there is no doing it right or wrong.

How can you rule out all lowsec as carebear space based on a brief visit? And what is wrong with being a carebear?

Is this a 7 turret Abbadon with an NC ticker surprised that frigs were not tackling it on gates in low sec?

It might just be me but it seems like piracy is almost dead. There are a few players that are still hanging on to it, but the last 3 years of patches have contained anti-pirate mechanics and anti-pirate incentives. Ive seen a lot of pirate corps go inactive and I don't see a lot of new ones popping up. I would love to see some official statistics of the percentage of -9 through -10 sec status players there have been since the beginning of Eve.

So that being said, if you are not willing to take gate guns, most players aren't going to bother with you in low sec.

I've seen plenty of roaming "pirate" gangs looking for a fight. That doesn't mean every single low sec system is an automatic battleground. Pirating (not actually an accurate term for what you are looking to do) is something you have to put effort into. Just dropping into whatever low sec is closest to you and hoping to find "easy kills" is perhaps not the best way to achieve the action you are looking for.

EVE has always been balanced in favor of what can best be called the unlawful or the evil element. So much so that many a lawful capsuleer just avoids low sec as much as possible. I'm sure if justice was more easily available and executable you'd have more "carebear" pilots in low sec. The way Concord treats low sec never really made sense to anyone.

I recently flew around in lowsec with a buddy of mine to see if we could hunt down some easy victims. Yes, we were bored. Turns out everyone flew away, scared to engage into combat with us, even though our ships were nothing to write home to mummy about.

My conclusion is, after spending several hours in lowsec, that people in general have grown soft and only flex their muscles in lowsec because "that's how it is". I feel sorry for you chickens.

Despicable scum. Rolling Eyes

Thank you for taking the time to post this, it has provided a much needed insight into several topical issues that plague the world today. if there were more intelligent bloggers such as you, then we would all be better off.

It depends on what you define as "brief". For me it was an all-day affair, much like previous visits, and it was very devoid of any action most of the time. Safe to say I was very disappointed and that is why I decided to start this thread. Upon browsing the General forum I discovered there is another, similar, thread that takes up the same issues only from a slighty different angle.

To address your second question; There is nothing inherently wrong with being a carebear. But residing in lowsec in an obvious pvp game might be the wrong environment if you are one.

Meh, I call troll/bull. Obviously don't know where to look.

7 of us did a quick bc/bs roam last night, took us about 30mins to find a great fight (one of my best in Eve). Took down an archon. Lowsec = certainly worth playing if you know where to find people. (We did get ****d later, but what the hey. All good fun)

You can call it whatever you want, doesn't make it more true. The fact of the matter is that I was roaming lowsec for almost a whole day and didn't get much or any action at all. And that was no isolated incident either.

I definitely hope so, what I've seen so far the past few months has not bode well. I remember lowsec bustling with activity with raging battles wherever you turned. That was some years ago unfortunately.

However, I recognize the importance of giving it a fair try. That's why I'm moving out (with a select core members of my corporation) to lowsec for three months to see if I can steer up some action.

What I was flying doesn't really matter in the context of this discussion. I can safely say it wasn't anything fierce and I would probably be destroyed on the spot should anyone be bold enough to take me and my partner on.

What OP is trying to say is that he definitely ISN'T a carebear and that he DOESN'T AFFRAID OF ANYTHING!

If I see you in lowsec I'll be sure to run to my safespot and hide there. I can't possibly hope to win a battle against a fearless warrior like yourself. Neutral

I'm still a she, thanks, but it shows how much you've read in this thread before you decided to add your view. Next time I suggest you actually engage in what's been written. That way you'll come across as less ignorant at least.

Your other comment that I didn't quote doesn't really fit into the context of the discussion. To spare you the shame of, yet again, coming across as an ignorant idiot I decided to not quote it. You obviously have no clue what this thread is about and have only come here to jump on the troll bandwagon. Well done, troll.
