great start :) CCP is like a barrrx of chokolaaats. Love how you will be able to destroy jump clones. I was only talking about this with my friend earlier. Then from the heavens it happened !!! Whichever God (or highly evolved ape) answered my prayers can I be cheeky and ask for a drone client lag improvement too? I'm pretty laid back really but that makes me bang my head on the keyboard. Keep up the good work guys and gals

Here are my small suggestions:
1) Allow me to rename cans in POS hangers
2) Allow me to take and put stuff in cans in POS hangers
3) Allow me to repackage stuff in POS hangers
4) Longer self-destruct timers on capital ships

Oh, one more big request, *please* *please* *please* give me a checkbox to turn off the alt key looks at stuff "feature" that was added in the last patch? I (and many other people) use alt as a push to talk key for voice comms.

Great work. Keep it up.

Thanks to Akita T for the "Thousands Papercuts" project. Great initiative and CCP did actually listen. Fixing some of that small stuff will make Eve feel less like a beta version.

Hopefully this is just the beginning and bigger features like FW, SOV etc. will get the well deserved polish as well. Fixing what is there already and making it actually enjoyable for your players will serve the game more than new features. Polished (playable) quality will sell better than new features in the long run.

Thumbs up for the fixes/changes/updates.

This one though made me boggle:

Quote:
Speaking of the influence bar, it pretty quickly became apparent that the low-sec and zero-sec ones needed adjustment. Sansha influence rate of regain in both those security bands have been minimized, meaning they'll be a lot easier to do.

After boggling, I read it... 3 more times.... just to make sure I was reading that correctly.

I then giggled, laughed, and bahahahad when I realized what this implied. High-sec Carebears > a lot of zero-sec alliances....

Very Happy

In the helpful spirit, we can get to the rampaging ranting later.

How about:

Making the hotkeys for "warp to" "activate/jump" actually use the selected item?

If you click ANYWHERE (except on another item, making it the newly selected item) the keyboard shortcuts seem to forget what the selected item is, despite it clealy sitting there in the selected item box. It just goes on and on about needing to have a item/destination/whateveritssayingaboutnotgettingitsneedsmet

Even zooming the view, changing the camera angle... breaks the selected target as far as the keyboard shortcut is concerned.
Probably the "approach/align" and "orbit" shortcuts suffer the same way, but old habits die hard and all that, I have not tried (ab)using those 2 yet.

However, the selected item remains selected.
Doing it the old way, with the mouse, works.
There is just no effort saved, if you have to reselect the item before each keypress.

It is really evident when:
click to select gate
Keyboard control: warp (to zero)
...enter warp...
fiddle with view, hit chatwindows, look at market
...exit warp...
keyboard control: jump
"no can do, need selected item".
Except it is still selected. The command just doesnt use it, because i dared to use the mousebuttons between pressing for warp and pressing for jump.
The hotkeys are not supposed to use the selected item. To copy a reply from CCP Optimal:

I think some of the problems you are describing with the combat shortcuts not working at all might be related to a misunderstanding of how they are designed to work. There are two ways of using a combat shortcut:
  1. Holding the combat shortcut key down, and then clicking the desired entity to apply it to. This was basically just taking the old CTRL+click targeting functionality and applying it to other in-space actions
  2. Having focus set to the overview and just pressing the combat shortcut key (no mouse clicking required). This functionality was added for those who would like to do combat without using the mouse at all.
Clicking an entity in space, and THEN pressing a combat shortcut key, will however not work, as this would probably end up with a lot of accidental command executions.

On the topic of hotkeys, can we have them work for bookmarks?

Just stick to the CSM November crowdsourcing list that we all voted on - a few things have been ticked off already, but pretty much everything on that list needs to be looked at. I mean, we all went to the trouble of voting on it for priorities Razz

I would like the ability as someone else suggested in the features forum for the ability to have savings accounts, rather than have all your isk in one basket. This could be password protected so to add an extra layer of security to help make it more difficult if the account is hacked, but make sure it is not allowed to have the same password as the login one.

Just my thoughts

I must say! I, master Jade, do not like this RR idea. If you can't suicide neutral remote reps, there is no counter to this strategy. How is this grief any different than can flips or suicide ganking miners? What about a trade window scam? This will make the neutral remote repair problem worse. Now, I'm not here to come up with a fix, but I feel this is a bad idea. Thank you

-Jade Elaira

I'm not sure how the concord RR thing affects neutral RR. Do you have a way to bait the wartarget/aggression target to get concorded and get the RR concorded too? Do you get the RR to remote rep you somehow and get yourself concorded? The ONLY thing that change affects is stopping RR from sharing CONCORD aggro, not player aggro or anything else. So I'm confused on how this affects neutral RR since I know of no way to force CONCORD on somebody else no matter what you do.

You can clear it already. Escape -> shortcuts. And yes a lot of the new default shortcuts are flat out stupid.

Since there isn't a good reason to remote rep someone who is criminally flagged apart from griefing, we're removing the ability to RR criminals in highsec. This is to close a loophole where people would CONCORDOKKEN their fleet. Thanks to Team Gridlock for making this change for us.

Hark, do you hear it? The sound of thousand griefers crying out as one and being silenced.

Seeing how this has now been classed as griefing, it can be petitioned now as a violation of the EULA? Ships reimbursed etc.? Laughing

Now that you guys on a roll tackling small stuff can you please take a look at Bug #104068 - "Client forgets position of lab hangar windows"?

Basically if you go to your POS and open a couple labs the windows open on top of each other. Before corification they used to open in the last place you left them.

This is pretty annoying for the ones who go to their POS couple times a day for copy/invention.

Explorer,

I really appreciate that you're taking the time to answer questions here - especially after hours like you are doing. However, I was really hoping that you guys would fix the above two issues while you fixed RR aggression in incursions. I agree that your change is very minimalist (and this is good), but fixing the standings hit/GCC would be a major improvement to the faction war and low sec in general.

To be clear for the carebears: No this isn't a fix to help evil pirates kill you. If they haven't shot you yet, they aren't aggressed, aren't taking damage, and don't need remote repair. These fixes simply allow pirates to shoot and and kill each other, as well as provide a long overdue faction warfare bug fix.

what about having a drop box to disable that annoying "lock target" thing that comes on the bottom of the screen when you hit control?

also. any chance of getting the option to disable shortcuts and re-enable auto chat focus :D

edit: oh and another really annoying thing but i dunno how many other people have issue with it. Every time i had a new chat (fleet / private) window it always comes out of the stacked windows and it gets really annoying stacking them every time

Here is something that has been driving me up a wall. All my sp I invested in blasters. Could someone please take a look at them, see that A: there is a problem, B: Something needs to be done about it and C: Does something about it.

Here is a 24 page thread of people asking and dreaming up ideas for a fix for blasters. Please someone do something about this problem that lots of people are having.

It sounds like your asking us for things that need to be looked at... here is a big one.

Please and Thank you. Also great job fixing the stuff you have.

Fully supported. The font was acceptable on lower resolution monitors but now it is becoming more and more unreadable as we upgrade our monitors and video cards.

He is saying he is a banned player returned with an alt. No idea if it is true or not, but not so smart in both cases.
