The Finals, at last!

First of all, my heartfelt ( yes I have a heart when it suits me ) congratulations to the Finalists:

Killer Gandry

Istvaan Shogaatsu

Mercy Regard

Fort

Jetena

You have climbed your way here, some more deserving than others but you have made it nonetheless.
But from now on, this matters little. All points are again null and you start from zero, all of you having the same chances.

The Finals will present you a much lighter demand on your time but a stronger focus on the event nonetheless. We will divide the finals into 2 phases: one, starting tomorrow at noon, which will be completed on Wednesday where two of the 5 finalists will be eliminated. [ Stay tunned on IGS for the announcement ]
And the Final challenge starting on Wednesday with deadline on Sunday at noon where the Winner will be announced.

The resort VR will continue to be open with now access to all participants who wishes to attend. It will remain this week as a place for relaxation and social interactions but with absolutely no weight on our decisions.

Everyone who had applied to the event is welcome now to request access to the resort. Access requests are to be sent to Darveses.
[ DO NOT SEND MAILS TO ME, I DON'T READ THEM]

I hope to see many of you still visiting us there, even those who didn't make it to the finals, good opportunities may rise from simply sharing a glass of whiskey with us.
You are all welcome!

To the 5 Finalists, rest well tonight, you will need a fresh, clear and sharp mind to proceed.

Well, at least it was an interesting experience. Good luck to all the remaining finalists, and give us your best shots! (Or worst depending on the challenges ahead)

Now I wish I had applied - if only so that I could accompany Syn and watch the proceedings in person! Oh well, maybe next time.

Oh, if only there were one more gentleman worthy of the final 5. I can see the Essence Fashion cover now... Nude with all the scandalous bits hidden, the gentle curves of flesh against flesh in the stunning cover photograph. The feature article could be titled "Beauty and the Beastly". Yes, Ms. Rhea, I can easily imagine us on the cover. You must have a limited mind, if you cannot.

Ms Regard, i was wrong about you. I admit i took you for a big softie but i see you are as cruel and ruthless as any of the others. That mental image will haunt me for weeks !

One step closer to victory. Once step closer to the ever flowing river of blood that will be y revenge. A toast to you Ms. Neferis, and to all the other finalists.

And a special note to Chinwe. Come find me and you will see if the old tales of the blood cults are true or false.

As exciting as that sounds Mr Fort, i don't think i'm ready to take part in any ever flowing rivers of blood just yet. My own supply is quite limited and precious to me.

This said. I'd like to announce the 5th spot: Jetena

Well Mercy Regard is very attractive in exactly the way the Sani Sabik faith seems to approve Verone, I suspect Veto will be making its mark and winning this competition if I am not to be very surprised.

Final's first challenge.
Starting now - Ending on Wednesday at noon.

Starting now, candidates are to begin the First of the Final's challenges. Finalists are to enter now what we call " Open Debate Arena " here at IGS and convince us and the public not about why they should Win this but as why they shouldn't be eliminated on this coming Wednesday.

Use whatever tools you can to show us your case: arts, images, facts, blackmails of your past days at the resort, whatever you see fit to lead our eyes away from you and towards our 2 next targets.

There is no requirements, no timming , no numbers asked about how many posts , how and when you should use your time to do this. On Wednesday, we will come to revise IGS from this point on and make our decisions.

Good luck to the Finalists.

Debate, subtle manipulation. Something we all think we know something about. One more than others it seems, Killer Gandry, is full of words. If I were to simply *listen* to him he'd have me thinking he's ready for any challenge. But lets see how he reacts when I bring the challenge to him.

Your weaknesses in the English language aside, I think you have a tendancy to indulge double talk. When leaving yourself obvious backdoors in your own language, I question whether you intend to be so bold as to say anything at all about anything. And when you don't... I strike with catastrophic effect. For example, your provided biography, explain the first two lines without revising them.

*reads Jetena's post and smirks*

How wonderfull to be pointed out to my lesser degree of the english language by someone who is so darn perfect.
Sadly this perfection isn't always true when I revieuw my logs.
But contrary to Miss Jetena I would like a real challenge and not a pety squibling like little schoolgirls.

As for the explenation of my first 2 lines in my biography I can give a twofold answer.

Anwer A: If you had actually participated during the event you would already have known part of their meaning. Like I already said however you being the runt of the litter I will go to answer B:

First to highlight the two lines Miss jetena is referring to. Before the accusses me of altering them.

To torture a man you have to know his pleasures.
To torture a woman you have to know her delights.

Torture has many faces. The more simplistic ones focus on the body. Causing physical pain in order to gain the benefit one's looking for.
Though this crude method can have it's advantages I myself prefer to put the pain there where it really hurts.
In the mind and heart.
And which pain do you think lasts longer. The one caused to the body or the one to the mind and heart.

I will leave it to Fort to answer that simple question for you.

I see, Mr. Gandry. And what is it that distinguishes pleasure from delight, and ergo woman from man according to this philosophy? My point stands, you've not worked yourself out of this one one bit, and in squirming, only buried yourself deeper.

To make my point clearer, delight and pleasure are so inextricably close as to render your philosophy meaningless, as it says nothing.

It truly saddens me that you don't know the difference between pleasure and delight.

Your life must be really dreary and unfullfilled.

No wonder Miss Neferis had such a hard time to find someone even worthwhile to be considered for the 5th spot in the finals.

But I applaud her for the fact she reckognised that every play needs it's comical relief or first victim.

You surely fit that part very well.

The money has been trivial since day one. I decline any share of the prize money, for if there is no game, there is no prize.

Considering Veto's showing in this thing, maybe you should consider taking this over as a Veto-sponsored contest. If nothing else, it would be awesome PR.

It's truly an exciting view to all! Currently in the VR resort Dreams Incarnate where the contest was held in the past week, the contestants are debating on how they should split the prize money, or at all, and so far there is little agreement between the four of the finalists. They are namely Killer Gandry, Istvaan Shogaatsu, Jetena, and Mister Fort, who is also known as Jonas. The one other finalist, Miss Mercy Regard, on the other hand has expressed to us her unwillingness of taking any of the prize money. Incredible.

Will the Four ever give up on their stance of each of them should receive 100% of the prize money? How long are they planning to fuel the heated debate? What is the thought of Majesty Miss Neferis to the current seemingly stranded situation of the finalists? Let's hope we'll find out real soon!

Well now, that's a sad ending. I might not always have been your biggest supporter Ms Neferis, but this contest was rather amusing. And you're now giving up your career because Ms Constantine does not approve of it? I'm not really familiar with Sani Sabik other than the basic principles, but doesn't this kind of go against all that? Ah well, your choice to make, and I suppose some will rejoice in the quiet returning to the IGS, but all the back and forth arguing doesn't make for quite as entertaining a read.

Hope you're happy Ms Constantine, 'cause now we get to read your material again. Well, those that actually still bother.
