Okay I am a PI newbie. I waited for this patch so that I dont get used to the old system before it all changed.

Now, I found a plasma planet and am trying to harvest heavy metals. I learned about finding the hotspot and this planet is best for heavy metals (no other hotspot comes up as quickly as heavy metal during scan).

So I placed my command center on the hotspot, upgraded it to level 3 and built two ECUs. One ECU I install two heads and the other I also install two heads and link them to a spaceport I build.

But here is my problem. As I am installing the heads on my first ECU - I am watching the bars go up and down as I move the head around and take note of the OUTPUT readings on bottom right corner. Ok I see over 18,000 for a 1 hour cycle. Each head producing >3,000 units per cycle. I install the program.

I go to the next ECU and do the same thing. I am placing them in the most productive spots just like the first one and looking at number in bottom right corner. Also over 18,000. I install the program.

But when I re-open its details I see the numbers have changed! Instead of producing >3,000 units on this second ECU they are around 2,500 each head despite the fact that the chart and numbers read completely different numbers the second I pressed install program. Why? Why did the numbers change like that? It did not do that on the first ECU.

Is this due to planetary depletion? If so, shouldn't this be factored into the numbers while I am surveying sites for the extractor heads? I find it very frustrating that I see numbers one second as I am surveying then completely different numbers after I install it...

I am also looking in the forums for problems with the materials outputs, and I saw this:

The numbers before you click install are only estimates that will vary depending on your planetology & advanced planetology skills. IF you have them at 5/5 then the numbers should theory. Also There is currently a known bug with the amounts reported in PI. "PI extraction and routing amounts are not correct."

So either one could be causing the issue.

Thank you for posting that, I see another thread now on the same topic so I'll keep an eye on that thread.
