Well, the lure of Level 4 missions and complexes was finally too much for me, and I'm giving up the Eagle doing lvl 3's in favor of a Raven doing lvl 4's. I've read numerous setups and think I have what I want, but am torn between two things. Grid is getting me, so assuming six Seiges up top, all shield mods in the mediums, and one ballistic mod in the lows, what would your choice be for the remainders...I want one of the two:

Two Heavy NOS in the other two high slots and three PDU II's and a Reactor unit in the other four low slots

or...

One heavy NOS and one medium NOS in the other two high slots and four PDU II's in the other four low slots.

What would you choose? Remember, this is strictly for lvl 4 missions, and maybe complexes...no PvP will done (not voluntarily anyway...heh). Thanks...

Here's a cardinal rule for setups you should carry with you through all your Eve career: If your setup requires a reactor control unit, it blows.

I removed the NOS from my Raven and put guns (yes, guns) instead, since the NOS don't drain the NPCs like PCs. It is to a point I barely noticed any cap drained at all; against a BS I think I could drain twice, yeah...

I have to disagree with this stance. I was using a 6x named 1400mm and 2 cruise launchers on my Tempest, then I finally got the Large Projectile Specialization skill trained. But when I went to fit 1400mm II's, I found myself short on PG, because the 1400mm II's use significantly more. By fitting a named RC, I can fit 5x 1400mm II's and 3x cruise launchers. The new setup outdamages the old one, so a RCU isn't always a bad thing.

I use one large and one medium NOSes, 3 PDU II's, 2 BCS, handles any lvl4 spawn well.

Put on some medium projs, against npcs nos seem a bit pointless with their low regen and low base cap. Medium projs give you some cap free extra dmg, altough not a lot.
