I too encountered an overview bug yesterday and at the worst time possible. We warp in on our target(actually instead of warping in at 0m I was put out to 30km!!! maybe another bug?) and then my primary doesn't even show up on the overview. This forced me to scroll way out and pick through drones til I finally got a lock. By then half the squad was dead or dying forcing a retreat. But why oh why do my wt's not show, even with neuts turned off and "at war w/corp" pushed to the top?!? I went through afterward and deselected everything and guess what, the neuts still showed. Please fix, stabbing people in the face just isn't the same.

Would be better if people stop making ignorant comments in general, but I dare to dream.
Nearly any program is going to have bugs on release, and something as complex as these patches introducing and changing a ton of game features, it makes sense there is going to be unexpected wrinkles despite their best efforts. The fact they are patching so often means they are working their hardest to fix these issues as they spring up, whereas many other games you need to wait weeks before some stuff is fixed.

Sure, it sucks not being able to play, but I'm happier that they're fixing stuff so when I login, stuff -works-. That is after all, what I pay for.

true but we but we pay to PLAY and were not getting that this week

Oh would you quit complaining about the downtimes already! Sounds like a bunch of children whining... If you want to express you displeasure about how poorly CCP handles things, heres what you do:
Write it on paper. Get an envelope. Seal it in the envelope...
Now, heres the difficult bit... Think! Think if the letter really has any valuable knowledge or expresses any opinions that might be viewed as -USEFUL- critisism. IF you really think the info is useful, then mail the letter. If not, then throw the letter in the trash. Simple, eh?

Think before you write... it is difficult, I know. Especially with internet since today its more about useless brainfarts rather than actually writing something useful.

Anyhow, all your whining and crying were succesfull, they made me rage. Nothing is more fun than trying to read something useful about a patching post only to find that its 4 pages of children crying.

is it known that the window stacking is still bugged? better than last time, but the left side stacked windows are going to right with about 2 cm on 1280x1024 (i tell "about", it is maybe the size of the opened left panel, but i use it always closed and never open it) it happens really rare with shipcargos and containers, i tried to clean the settings and set it up again but they still missing their places. i know it is not a major bug, i just tell it to be known.

Anyway, I leave this game after every big change, after they made my fleet tempest to a bull**** (i was young, that was my dreamship), after they made caldari to the ultrapowa nation (unbeeteable tengu+shield support+drakes+onlygoodjammers pfff), now i got an other hit with the nolvl5inhighsec, i have just learned 2 bslvl5 for this, now about a half years learning is lost with it, as my rattle went to be nearly pointless, but im still here, i think we can tell anything, they doing great job...

You all seem to have some reality problems here, I suggest many of you grow up and get a life. If you are adult, then perhaps consider getting a shrink to explain the difference between games and real life.

If you cant play the game before you go to work, do something else. If its your day off, do something else, if your retired, wealthy and lonley, DO SOMETHING ELSE.

Its EvE.

Before any downtime, add a long skill to your training queue, it doesn't matter what skill you take out. Its Eve, things will change.

If your in a dispute, dock up, log out, and turn on the television, grab a cola and investigate the palms of your hands for hairs. It doesn't matter, it is Eve.

If you are waiting for a fault to be fixed, assume the worst, expect to be dissapointed and relax, it is Eve. Good things will come as a pleasant surprise.

If you know you could do a better job than the devs, apply to CCP, put up, or shut up, complaining about things done by others makes you look like a pratt. Its Eve, live with it.

If you know of a fault and they have not fixed it, again, then it is a low priority for some one, accept it. Your priorities are not their priorities, is Eve, learn it.

Above all people, it is a game, and the only reason you play it is because a Company called CCP is making a return on investment by some financial speculators who happen to own the Company. Their only aim is to make a buck and pay the bills, your opinions, complaints and whinges mean little or nothing to them. Get with the program.

If you have some thing positive to add to the already filled plates of the managers, designers, design teams, creators, server techs, customer support techs and those in HR that are trying to hold it all together, guess what, a whinging blog thread is not the place to express it.

If you don't like what I have suggested, I don't care because guess what, It Is Eve, it is a GAME, it is NOT REAL.

I'm sorry but it needed to be said. I work with children and I can honestly tell you... a 5 year old can write better critisism than half the lot here.

I think what Derek Vanzant said was right, and of course you pick at him for "whining on the whiners.." it's an evil circle.. he did have a point though so his "whine" was at least constructive..

One should always be able to suicide ones pod, with out intervention.

For example, if one gets stuck in a wormhole. or are we expected to contact a gm each time this happens.

There are a lot of people here telling us, for various reasons, to stop complaining. It's part of the process, they say, or it's just not important, get a life. Or blah blah blah. Frankly, go and do one.

One of the key purposes of these forums is to provide a mechanism for the players to show what it is they like about the game, and (as in this case) what they're not so fond of. Whether or not CCP actually listen is another argument, but venting frustration in this forum is a perfectly reasonable thing to do, and I find it odd that some suggest they should stop.

As for my opinion on what CCP doing, patches are obviously necessary. EVE is a very complex beast, and things that my seem easy or simple to you or me may be far from being so. That said, CCP seem to have fallen into the standard corporate trap. For all their humour and casual way of talking, they're failing to communicate in the way their customer base deserve.

There are little glimmers of hope - they way that there were frequent and relevent updates during the 1.1.0 deployment. But then thing like today and yesterday happen.

Why was the deployment cancelled yesterday? And please, more details than just "issues". Some of are stupid, but the rest of us would appreciate at least knowing what the general area was. Why was there a change in downtime that was seemingly never announced? How is the deployment going now?

A post on these forums once an hour won't cost much, won't detract from manpower required for the deployment significantly, and - I predict - would be a massive, almost free, boost to customer satisfaction.

Things go wrong sometimes. We accept that. We just don't like being left in the dark.

^ ^ this.

But seriously, did you make a mistake when you used the character creator? :p

I do hope they will change the grouping of guns. I do like the button to group and ungroup all, but my previous missionboat had 2 groups of 4 lasers and now I don't seem to have that option. Maybe I overlooked it.
