When going for the new char creator, progress bar freezes, cpu load (on one of the cores only) rockets through the roof, available ram gets exhausted (no swap gets harmed, though). Won't say I'm too surprised: on sisi, I had to downgrade to worse rendering parameters to get something like 5fps.
New thing is, when I don't go for the char creator, progress bar in "
entering game as [character]" dialog freezes midway, one cpu node gets saturated, so does memory, and this pretty message appears in my shell:

Regarding memory usage :
Mem: 2058080k total, 2042596k used, 15484k free, 63280k buffers

Edit: ok, forget about the second part, I had forgotten to rename the res/audio/Jukebox thing. Games starts now.
Question however remains: does anyone have the game not eating all of their memory? How much place does it take then?
