Feedback for incursions:

The idea of disabling Jump Bridges which are leading to the incursion systems looks stupid.
At the moment we have lots of paralyzed Jump Bridge networks across New Eden.
We tried to remove incursion from JB system, but after 3 hours of making plexes by 25 man gang including 5 logistics, incursion index dropped by 1% and quickly recovered when we stopped.
This means that in order to reestablish JB network to the normal state, alliances who maintain it will have to do PvE without award (no ISKs, small amount of stupid LPs) for about 24+ hours. This is total waste of game time.

BTW Sansha Cyno Jammer should not disable jump bridges!!! Because regular Cyno Jammer can't do it.

CCP Fix it please.

It's still so quiet here... I'm at work, but I keep hearing that thousands of player ships are being destroyed, including countless very expensive ships like marauders. It sounds like the players die like flies and aren't making a dent even to the easier sansha sites. I was expecting to find the forum devastated too... by an unprecedented storm of rage. But I guess it isn't so bad after all?

All you ppl that are whining about the character creator. Need to go to read the dev blog about the creator. It is a work in progress. As they add to it we will be able to modify / redo our characters accordingly. So stop your whining and go to the fridge and open a can or bottle of patience. All will be good. Cool

Now complain about the system wide nerfings that will occur to any system that has an incursion. The nerfing (despite being temp.) will affect everything and one in that system. Including your implants, modules, ships bonuses and ammo.

The legion of carebears in Deltole have already knocked 33% off the system influence there. And they're probably far less efficient at Pve than you 0.0 guys, given that they've lost 240 or so ships doing it.

LMAO, I know what to expect from them. I read the patch notes. It basically works like this. They invade, you get the hell nerffed out of you, you and the rest of the system warp in to save the day and lose your ships. Like I been saying it is horribly one sided. They win you lose. Heavily. ROTFLMAO. Laughing They should have really read the patch notes and other dev blogs / videos on the subject. Could have saved them some pain and agony caused by losing expensive ships.

Jumping in on page 30... have they mentioned anything about the continual crashes in ntdll.dll on Win 7 64 bit systems? Ever since 17-Jan(ish) this thing has been unstable especially when first loggin in or jumping through gates. latest video drivers are no help...

Yeah I run three accounts...well I did BEFORE the patch...now my cyno alt DC's, my cap ship pilot DC's. Everything worked fine before! Here's an idea that any PROFESSIONAL software development org would have thought of - "roll back plan". This isn't working, roll it back and try again in six months.

I am a bit angry that I have filed bug report 106106...they communicated with me pretty promptly for 2 days and now it's going on 3 1/2 days since I've gotten any response. Tried following their troubleshooting/diagnostics with (ha ha game just crashed as I was typing this) log server and /minidump but the process doesn't work the way they say it should so..... *shrug*?

LOL, CCP I think prefers the trudge and muddle through approach to solutions. Which dispite everyone's views could possibly be the easiest approach. The hard thing about programming is that even though you get a lot of the problems resolved, Noting is really fixed until it is actually released then it get patched to death. How many AI games you buy in the past only to have to d/l patches to get the bugs fixed. Same applies to mmo's

About the incursions:

What if people just stop doing incursions and let the sansha's take over? Was that the whole point? Because right now the only thing its doing for me is for the enjoyment of watching people fly into incursion sites one by one being insta popped in anything from Domis and Ravens to little wanna-be ninja salvage probes. The fireworks show does get a little boring after a while though. =\

At least make incursion sites a bit more "do-able". Fantastic, great, tell us to get together 40-50 battleship groups per site. But i highly doubt that will happen since nobody wants their precious BS to be the first, second, or 20th ship to get insta popped on warp in. I think this incursion concept is a great idea, just needs some balancing there guys....

Unless this is exactly what you wanted to happen CCP? Have everybody lose their ships to a useless cause in order to jump start the economy? If thats the case, good job! Its working LOL.

One of the things that caught my attention quick was when I heard in the video that incursions was designed from the ground up to be excruciatingly hard to dis wade solo pilots from going in. It was designed with the sole intent that it would take a massive fleet to destroy. Which is similar to what you might see in 0.0 space if you were in a large fleet going to attack another corp. You need to have all manner of ships with special abilities to do different things. Not just come in swinging. Granted they are NPC's but you got to approach them as though it was a PvP situation. Since the damage delt by them might already be known, the devs came up with operation nerf them all and let the shansha sort them out approach to it. Soooo you are now fighting with a handicap to encourage "team work" to defeat the shansha. If you approach it like you would a PvP encounter it might go easier. Set up a large fleet mixed with tacklers, repairers, heavy hitters, smaller ships to pop their smaller ships. Go at it from all levels. As for me and my crappy connection....I'll watch from a safe distance.Laughing

I could be wrong, but I predicted early that the incursions would not be popular.

We havent even gotten to the fun of the poor/small loot drops yet.

240 ships destroyed...And 1-2 people will get the loot? lol talk about RAGE.

IMO - this is CCP's attempt to drain a lot of ISK out of the system. That's the whole point of these incurions I think. They needed a HUGE ISK Sink in order to counter the growing ISK in the system.

Let the other suckers get destroyed by it. Eventually people will come to their senses and stop running the silly things.

Actually destroyed ships is an ISK-Faucet, due to insurance.
Destroying a ship will only redistribute isk, not destroy it.
Since most ships/modules are player made(the ones from LP stores do
eat isk), they will only redistribute the isk, not move it out
of game.

Whats funny is how fast the sansha control recovers after a short period of time. Algintal was at ~50% control about 4 or 5 hours ago. Now? Back at 100% sansha control baby. Help us Jove Empire, youre our only hope...

How cool would that be if Incursion was just elaborate cover for the real expansion where the Jove come back. Everyone goes bat**** for a week then the Jove swoop in and save the day, delivering goodies for all the good little boys and girls.

Epic troll, CCP.

Edit: Hopefully they also bring back my uncorrupted skill sheet. Would be nice to actually train on the account I am paying for.

Last night it was knocked back almost to 50%, unfortunately this morning it had reset to 99%. Seems the numbers could do with a bit of tweaking. This seems like the only incursion so far that has been fought on a large scale, but even then it seems almost impossible to finish it.

I wouldn't be surprised if they made the first incursions extra-hard so we cannot defeat them for a while. To convey an impression of real war; everyone is affected and the enemy seems overwhelmingly strong. Imagine the players would have beaten back the incursions within a day. Everyone would be yawning and asking: What, that's it?

Or maybe most empire dwellers just suck at real combat (opponents who can deal out more than symbolic damage and use something that could pass for the brain activity of an ant) to a higher degree than CCP assumed. Then either the hisec population will learn a few things... or CCP will eventually nerf the sanshas before everyone emoragequits the game.

I'm also quite sure that a lot of players entered sites in cheap and weak ships, even shuttles and rookie ships, to just have a look at the sanshas without risking anything valuable. I bet at least 50% of the lost ships were almost worthless.

In fact, as somebody already noted, by just by reading the devblogs I similarly chose to wait and see, and not jump into any incursion yet, since there were some immediately apparent problems with this... which by the way were apparent even in the first test incursions.

Looting is unmanageable, and awarding LP only when completely repelling the invasion (and only to the gang who made the most) is ridiculos.
The players get nerfed, CONCORD and Empires' navies don't move a finger, while pirates and griefers can easily "help" the Sanshas without any additional penalty.
Sanshas are a threat to every Empire and capsuleer, the people fighting them should be rewarded seriously, CONCORD and Navies should side capsuleers, and the people helping Sansha should be banned from Empires forever.

All of this was enough for me, without even knowing that the Sansha fleet would be so overwhelming, and that control levels would restore themselves so fast.
To anyone who has something to do elsewhere, joining an incursion fleet makes no sense at the moment, it's a waste of time and isk unless if you have a ship with an expiring insurance...

This is very sad to be honest, since the incursion idea is great, but it needs to be not only rebalanced, it must be deeply modified in looting reward and punishment mechanics to become a living part of EVE.

Ok 1st download went fine, until the next download happened

1. Log in and I am told my character has been flagged for re-customization

2. I attempt to do so except I get the error "CCP exefile has encountered a problem and will now shut down."

3. I clear out my cache and try to re-install and now it is giving me the error that some files are corrupted or missing so I run the repair program guess what? Oh it fails too

I am experiencing problems with detecting incursions on my star map. I have cleared my cache, made sure the correct setting was active which was "incursions". As well as made sure I was not on the solar system map lol. The only thing I saw was a star map full of gray colored solar system dots. I was told in local that an active incursion was taking place in Deltole. Is anyone else having this problem? Is CCP exercising their sinister sense of humor by setting it up so that us jump in to a system completely unaware of it being invaded Twisted Evil

I wonder if the sansha are ignored if they would either spread their influence by occupying other systems like a disease or if they would simply hop around after x amount of time passes with no aggression being made towards them. be interesting to see what happens. I know what to expect when they show up.....Me buying a new ship in the market. I foresee prices rising real soon as more and more people lose ships to an impossible to win scenario. Which is fine by me as its more money in my pocket.

The Sansha Incursion kinda reminds me of the no win scenario in Star Trek. What a way to pop a few egos that thought they were impervious. Shocked If the insane losses continue. The only thing that will eventually happen is people will eventually view it as unwinable and simply ignore it. It is way too one sided. The nerfings need to go away and the NPC ships balanced similar to what player ships are. As well as have similar bonuses for their modules. The way it stand now. If it continues as is, people will eventually recognize that it is an effort in futility to kill off the incursion.
