I know it's been brought up several times already but

"Some players are unable to remove neutral pilots from the overview."

..is really causing a lot of problems, and needs to be repaired/restored to its former functionality.

Please?

I also had neutrals setup to blink yellow on my overview and local, and this isn't working. Is that as intended or a patch bug? I see the option is still there, but its not showing up in local, which is a big problem (for me)

CCP, I am yet again going to ask for some feedback on when you're going to remove the race-lock on clothing and hairstyles.

Thanks CCP for nerfing PI 6 months after giving it to us. Just got all the characters I wanted to do PI with trained to the proper levels (some with buy-back points from learning skills, kudos on that idea), but now they can't manage the planets I've set for them, nor make what they need to make.

The ECUs use waaaaaay too much PG and CPU. I had planets running on plasma worlds that could build robotics from the ground up. This is now impossible, as you cannot get 4 ECUs on a planet and you can't extract more the one resource from a single ECU.

It appears that your redesign did not consider that people would want to extract more than two different materials on each planet.

I had 4 characters running PI (total 19 planets) and yes, if was a click fest, took me about an hour a night to go through them all. But now, I can't even make what I was making before, no chance of that. I had one character making Nanite Paste using 5 planets, now that's impossible to do with one character. I had another making components needed for T2 drone production (Robotics and Guidance systems), and two characters making POS fuel (one in lowsec on 4 planets, making all 5 fuel items, the other on 5 planets in highsec doing the same). Now I can't succeed with any of these plans.

Way to go!!

Although the player base should appreciate the valiant and positive effort from the CCP team to improved the game, there has been some things geting left out.

it is no longer possible to click on a avatar portrait and copy his corporation or alliance, that was useful.

also a problem that has been lasting for some time, since the mail list copy / paste issues, that haven't been addressed yet:
example :
Market -> Ships -> Battlecruisers -> Standars Cruisers -> Amarr ->
(try to select / copy / paste Harbinger)
it won't select and copy paste the proper letters, you will come out with something like : (arbinger )

as you move down the list, it gets worst and you get " The " which is related to the bellow description text ("cy is built on an ancient Amarrian ...) you simply can't copy none of that properly as it's discerned or something.

for those that like the character creator, it's very good, yes, but there are small unpolished roughness that prevent or make hard for people to achieve the intended outcome result (which leads to people feeling like dying for not achieving the pretended result and hinders the overall base contentment)

when ccp released a new character creator, not only they Lift the bar on what the player base needed to have as a hardware and software ... to deal with the new avatar generator, but also on how people expected to from the avatar creator to deliver.

some issues like :
. The avatar keep moving constantly, wile people try to give those nice cheeks, without looking something coming out of a bad plastic job (lack of a freezing button)
. some limitations in the avatar customisation (yes yes, tattoos will come eventually)
cloths, backgrounds, accessory's, limitations on the avatar manipulation related with high, weight, racial, colour, all of that limit the player fun with it.

. other interesting aspect, is that lots of players seem to actually enjoy to play around customising they're avatars, and try to achieve that so dreamed result ... but they can't go back and change something that does not look as well in a small portrait, upsets player base.

. some old backgrounds are missed, if it was possible to reintroduce them, as well change the colours of those backgrounds, would be great.

i'm sure it has been already said, but i just want to congratulate ccp for the decison to bring in this huge character generator to eve. its simply the best i ever used in any game, no other mmo is close to that. the whole incarna thing will bring eve to a new level in terms of indetification with your character, which is always good for a rpg.

+ thx for the AA option, it was so needed Very Happy

in a very strange way, a neutral was actually showing properly tagged on the overview, but most don't show up properly, that is very inconvenient.

I havent experienced character creator since my computer just sits waiting to go to the site, I even tried letting it sit half an hour once. no go. why even go to all the trouble to create a character, just get in the game and play. i cant even picture whay my character looks like, or used to look like.
And PI went from bad to horrible. everyone i know has dismantled their pi. what a waste of skill learning.
as for the patch itself, i was impressed that there were no emergency shut downs, or unexplained boots the next several days after. seemed to go much smoother, that was nice.

I totally agree. Used to be able to build several items on the same planet. Total nerf.

-------:My Positive & Negative Thoughts About The New Character Creator:-------

Awesome. You guys have clearly put a lot of effort and it has certainly paid off.

I feel more attached to my character now, and I can't wait until I can see the fully realized version in later versions.

Very Intuitive! Without even clicking on the Question Mark for help I was able to manipulate the character without ever feeling confused.

Noticeable improvement in performance.

Although the clothing style felt like different variations of the same 4-5 templates, I think it was good to start out with.

For female models, there is an unmistakable Asian appearance I couldn't change very easily, no matter what I did.

Great Job on the hair. I'm loving how it falls around the character, especially for the female models.

The Braided hair style is masterfully done in my opinion. The best I've seen in a game, and certainly not of a quality I would expect from a game where most players spend their time looking at ships rather than actual faces or portraits.

For my particular race, bloodline, and gender of my Main character, (Minmatar, Vherokior, Female), I was really disappointed in the lack of a sufficiently dark complexion for the skin. It felt more like I was tuning the light settings rather than changing the complexion, and at the darkest settings it merely looked as if I just left the beach with a modest tan.

Even when I first created this character four years, I was still put off by the lack of darker choices; and now this new release adds salt onto the wound. Perhaps it has something to do with my chosen bloodline why only with my selection are those darker complexions absent. If this is the case, I seriously regret my bloodline choice today.

I believe a darker complexion, should be available for all bloodlines and even all other races, too. Please address this issue.

Thank You developers for all your hard work. I hope at least one of you sees, reads, and understands my thoughts & suggestions and considers them for implementation in some future release.

^^This but minus the !!'s

I too was extracting 3-4 things from planets, can not do this now because ECUs use too much PG/CPU compared to individual extractors. Could alternate what I extract but that slows down the factory process, putting POS Fuel supplies at 2x the wait time. Likely to see a marked increase in POS fuels in the future as current PI, while getting immensely easier to manage, seems to have gimped ability to diversify/balance/tune.

Hi CCP,

Thank's for new Character creator. We need more options (update, more cloath, tatoo, etc.), but it's a good first step and the result ingame is crazy! very nice :)

I was talking to a corp mate last night and he brought up an interesting point. Some players play the game through mining for Plex to keep from having to pay a fee that they cant afford. Has CCP considered what a random incursion / reduction in all resist/ bonuses and non functioning implants will do to these players? A couple of my corp mates told me that they will be forced to leave if their mining ships get destroyed as they wont be able to re-coop from the loss. Granted CCP wouldn't miss them as they are not paying like a great deal of us. Oddly enough though we are paying for them to play. When we buy a plex and sell it to them for the isk. This could do away with a commodity in the game.

Having said that I would like to know just how randomized the incursion is as well as how sharp of a drop in the above mentioned categories we will take. Do players feel comfortable with the idea of losing out on making a few hundred million isk that this could bring.

97% of all comments here are negative opinions, 2% are whining/flaming/non-constructive and 1% is positive (although, one comment of this 1% praised the new neocom, seems like this one is a paid ghost writer ^^)

629 comments, mostly with constructive criticism and negative feelings about different things and CCP did not ever care to post SOMETHING (not even a "stfu") to comment this. I do work as a software developer and if i would treat my (paying) customers THAT way, i won't earn the money anymore to buy basic food. If any other mass industry would launch a product that underdeveloped as this patch, they all would have to close down (think of cars with non functional gas pedals... oh, wait...)

My opinion about the patch has been said by hundreds of others before (PI - thanks for not be able to produce T3 anymore, CC - thanks for cloning 500k players), so i really want to get a feedback from CCP, no matter what, just a statement about hundreds of upset players - and what is going to calm them down.

Laura

You make a good point. Since CCP hasn't even put in one comment about the issues that were posted as concerns, most of which were constructive some were people venting, leads me to believe that these concerns will eventually get buried under the delete button or ignored. CCP Please comment on these criticisms. Since you asked for the feed back it sure would be nice to get feed back on the feed back.Cool

Great job with the character creator CCP!
I really enjoyed exploring the possibilities.

Some issues:
- SSE2 enforcement
- height & weight constraints of avatars are too strict
- small amount of clothes
- fixed light sources
- backgrounds (only 80 ?, moiré patterns)

Overall very good job ! Thank you
Can we hope for a external/API version in the future :-) ?

Dear CCP,
All and all the patch is ok. With that said I am unimpressed with character creation system, maybe the DEV team should look at "SECOND LIFES" avatar creation system and learn from it. Also I paid cash to have my portrait transferred to my main account. I would like some kind of reimbursement or are you just taking my money with out compensation? Seems to me the patch is very buggy which shows lack of planning or for site. Or is this the beginning of the sell out for quantity for quality. SadQuestionSad
