My current gaming rig has a intel e8500 c2d, 8gb ram and a ati 4870 gpu. I'll probably upgrade it soon. Anybody have experience running a linux distro on similar hardware and running 5+ accounts without many issues?
My laptop is hardly top notch (Core Duo2/3GB Ram/256MB 8400GS) and I can run 3 clients without too many issues, albeit slightly jerky

. I found heat more of an issue than speed so had to mess with cpufreqd and nvidia-settings to find a stable running system, *and* a stable X.
