One of the abnormal thing with modules and ships is that they never wears out.
It is unrealistic and that why I want to introduce a new item characteristic : normal use of a module and a ship will slowly damage him.
To avoid broken stuff, capsulers have to take care of their stuff by repair their equipment regularly (in station or with Nanite).
That's where the new "Item quality level" arrive (lev1 to lev5) => when producting an T1 item or a T1 ship, a random quality will be set to products.
Quality lev 1 will make the module/ship being damaged faster than Quality lev 4. Quality lev 5 almost never suffer from wear.
- Meta 1 to 4 have a lev 1 quality
- Meta 0 will have a random 1 to 5 quality(Meta 0 have a simplier technologie that make them more reliable)
- Meta 5 and more have a lev 5 quality
Normal use of modules will slowly damage used items, and will not damage nearby modules.Nota:
The quality lev set the damages generated by normal use, he is different from overloading heat damage.
The quality lev is also different than the Meta lev cause meta change the item efficiency but quality doesn't.Thanks to also have a look to this different idea
