I like using a survey scanner. I think they're underappreciated in general. If you're willing to pay attention to your mining window, then you can use the survey scanner to prevent wasted cycles. What I really don't like, however, is how they are range-limited. I have the good fortune to fly in a boosted mining fleet. Even with a T2 survey scanner, I can't scan out to the full range of my strip miners. Conversely, when I'm not in fleet, a T2 scanner sees a lot farther than my strip miners, meaning that I have a lot of results on my list that I can't actually mine. It would be great if 1) survey scanners got a boost from a mining booster too and 2) you could manually adjust the scanning range to match it with your mining lasers.

I like this bit- change "adjust" to "reduce" and it would reduce clutter. (probably what you meant, but just clarifying).
