I'm dual boxing with small windows. I could use smaller overview text. :/

I just realized the dude who created this corp spelled Intensive incorrectly.

Sigh

I'll +1 this.

Its not even so much the whole ui, its certain letters that are really making it a pain. Like B and 8. or 0 and O and D. 9 and 8 also look similar. You get the idea. Maybe just a font change to something that has more definition between similar numbers/letters.

every few months this comes up again. its probably a bit of work to make all windows draw nicely? otherwise i can't see a reason this should not have been done a long time ago.

the context menu can be increased - and this is quite easy i guess...

Fix the darned text already guys! 24" 1920x1200 and not a cheap TFT one either.

Also have a panasonic 65" tcp65vt25 plasma - Unless you are sitting 3' in front of this massive screen, the text is unreadable.

We aren't in the 90's anymore boys, time to do some coding and fix this worsening problem.

When I upgrade my gaming monitor next time to a 30" I won't be able to read the text at all!

On a beamer 1.5m x 2.5m here, and I still have to go to a lower resolution!
The letters are fricken 1.3cm large and still difficult to read!

theres a new font hidden in the eve client files.
Its much easier to read than the current and I hope they are going to use it.

Even just adding an option to scale the whole UI larger or smaller would probably fix the problem.

Seems a hack-ish kind of solution, but it would fix the problem.

That would be awesome too!

Anyway, EvE is a democracy (sort of at least) and CSM elections are coming our way.

I refuse to vote for a CSM that does not have this in their agenda and I will petition to my corp and alliance only to vote for those that do Exclamation

I would play eve all the time if I could read the text on my 40" tv from bed. The text is too small to play.

Fully agree with the OP.

I find myself hunching, squinting and leaning in close to my monitor when playing Eve.

Not good at all.

This is a MUST for improvements to the UI.

As I understand it, there is a new UI coming for Incarna. I sincerely hope it is useable to people with high-resolution displays [ie: Most everyone]. I myself - in the time since starting this thread - have bought a Dell U3011, and (not surprisingly) have found the problem to be exacerbated by the increase in resolution.

I'm going to say this with the utmost sincerity and conviction:
If EVE is unreadable after the UI update, I'm leaving.

I don't see the point in paying for something I can't read. It disappoints me greatly that it has come to this because I have enjoyed this game so much. The UI text, however, always been a problem. I know that the devs read this forum. I've seen their replies in other threads. It would be reassuring for them to acknowledge this one too.

I can't go on with the monitor 6 inches from my face.

PS: Before you say it, I am aware of the 'Modern Warfare 2 Boycott' efforts and how committed those people were. I'm deadly serious about my ultimatum.

Has this issue been addressed with the new UI? From the looks of it, I'm not sure it has. I am running at 1920x1080 and 9~13 all look alike... :/

Nope. You can adjust the right click context menu font size, but not the rest of the game. Thanks CCP for ignoring this thread entirely.

FIX THIS CCP! I am going to bump this every stinking day until we get a reply that this is being addressed.

Uh, I don't know what you're talking about. As I said in an earlier post. My monitor is 30". No. Difference.

24" monitor 1080p... too close to monitor.... while read this theme especially quoting i ws close to 10 or less cm to monitor... i wish in 1.1 incarna was a font/size change

Not to compare EVE to WOW too much but... the WOW UI is a great example of what a MMO UI should be.

1: Fully scale-able to each users needs, allow the game graphics at great resoluton but also with text that is readable and buttons you can press easily in a hurry! (for the non-keybound types!)

2: Slightly off-topic, but the client is also user-customisable so the modding community can create client-side modification to further improve on the default design.

To be honest, i'd be more than happy if the 1st bit was implemented in EVE and could live without the 2nd bit!
Sort it out CCP!
