- The GUI is linked to the performance of the graphics engine. Really bothersome. Really should be separate. I dislike being unable to do anything while a simple colored box is drawn/populated.

- Bigger commas/periods. Please.

- Lack of a reload function on the various time-sensitive windows. Or a simple "outdated" indicator.

- The entire window positioning system.

- Lack of simple explanations in hover boxes.

- More intuitive overview configuration.

- Lack of any sense of position within the galaxy. I'd love to travel several systems just to find myself rounding the arm of a nebula.

- Lack of animated backgrounds. So many different space thingies available!

I'm fairly new so I haven't seen much of the game. For example, I'm hearing things about font? That could fix the comma problem.

My little paper-cut is...

The Calculator.
Would it be possible to have an option (or permanent setting), to place the "thousands separator" in there? In most other text boxes you can make them appear by TABing out of the box. With that tiny (on my screen @ 1920x1200), calculator though even that doesn't work.

It gets really hard to see the difference between 10's of millions and 100's of millions and I find myself highlighting the number with the mouse cursor just to check that I'm reading it correctly.

In fact in "numeral" boxes (like any price entry text box), it would be great to have it automatically place the separators as you type (rather than after you TAB/click out of the box). Just one less click or keypress that really doesn't need to be there!

The ACCEPT QUOTE? window that appears when submitting a manufacturing job is a modal window that prevents interacting with any other part of EVE. This means that I can't use the notepad to make my shopping list. I have to tab out of EVE do to it.

Even more useless, you can right click on a missing item in the ACCEPT QUOTE window and choose Show Market Details, but you cannot interact with the Market window that pops up behind the ACCEPT QUOTE window. Rolling Eyes

Items can be remotely transfered from a corp hangar to a members hangar but members can't remotely transfer them back.
This is a real pain if you borrowed someones ship and need to return it back into the corp hangar because you forgot. The only way is by contract which seems to be a rather silly work around.

just one here...

* when scanning you have a black horizon layer in the solar system that makes it so you cant see your probes half the time... get rid of it, there is no 0 in space that you can see any its annoying, or at least give an option to turn it off!

* add the parsing of M and B in the money windows. I want to be able to type '25m' rather than have to count all the zeros and be sure I haven't made a mistake.

If i repackage something in my hanger it scrolls the window up so if my item is at the bottom i have to scroll down to find it again. This has been getting on my **** for the last 4 years and it's time something was done.

i think it would be very useful if you could drag a stack into the calculator and have it put the quantity value in for you.

- Since the last couple of patches - chatboxes randomly switching to a different chatbox of their own accord, for example;

Corp chat: hi player x how was...

...Chatbox randomly switches to alliance chat...

Alliance chat: ...your day?

If you arent a touchtyper that can look at the screen while typing, this can lead to some very odd things being entered into chatboxes that you never intended to write in.

Annoying to say the least...

Also annoying is this example, youre typing to a corpie giving him/her vital information that could prevent them being concordokkened or some other form of demise that could result in spreading their pod goo over several parsecs of space, while you yourself are docking... and half of what you just wrote ends up being in the items search field on station info window (i have items and ships in station info window option enabled).

In all honesty, if i want to search for something i will put the cursor in the search field myself - i'd much prefer if the cursor remained where i left it when i dock please.

*window positions... anyone who seperates local chat and aligns it to the far left of the screen will relate to this - every time you log out and back in, it has to be unpinned, moved back to where you want it, and repinned.

Any mission runner will relate to this also - some open wreck/loot containers as they tractor them in, others like to salvage the wrecks then open all the loot containers after, when doing the latter its intensely annoying to have to constantly pin two container windows together before the rest will behave and open together as tabs in one window, instead of opening in 50 gazillion seperate windows.

For some reason if I have say a 6x6 window open (example market window) and I want it to be 2X2 I have to drag from the top down and from left to right.

Dragging from right to left will not make it smaller, nor iwll going bottom to top.

2)some times if I barley click a window it widens (or gets longer) taking up all/most of the screen.

Example, market window is 4x4 and I want to click something close to the bottom. BAM its 4 X 10 or 10 X 4 and I have to use the top or left to make it smaller.

3) The jukebox is a awesome feature, I love how I can import my entire library.
BUT, why does the music change every time I jump systems, hit a gate or dock?
Why can I not disable that?

4) I use a 42" tv and sit a good distance away, it makes the text so hard to read.
I can go windowed full screen and loose my resolution.
The game looks much better at 1920X1080.
A way to adjust global font settings would be great.

5) The timer to swap ships is too long.

6) the timer to use a gate if I join a fleet is too long.
Example. Heading to a gate (in warp) get fleet invite, join.
Timer to use gate Shocked

Anomaly / Signature Bookmarking.

Why do we have to bookmark anomalies/sigs/wormholes?

Once you have a 100% hit and have warped to it, it would be nice if they added themselves to the warpable list for the duration of time that they exist, as with missions. This would save having to manage loads of bookmarks and prevent those irritating moments when you warp off a wormhole without bookmarking it.

Waiting for the ui to go on things that should be cached or shouldn't require online data.

UI elementa scrolling all over the place as they refresh

Screen fading as you undock or press esc

Lack of macros

When I was a noob, not being able to put together a decent fit on sparse markets (real pain in 0.0)

Well-known imbalances that don't get fixed

Not being able to identify and change market orders from the market item browsing screen

Lack of ways to force fights (let's face it, pvp is almost entirely consensual once you learn the mechanics of the game)

Market costs prevent trading profit for non-volatile low margin items.

The way the scanning screen rotates around the Sun rather than the centre of ones probe formation.

Not such a problem in small systems but large systems, particularly at high zooms, are really annoying when you rotate to position your probes in the vertical plane and they revolve off the screen.

Failing that, being able to double click on a probe name (in the scanner interface, not the system map) and have the screen centre on that probe would be awesome.

Rather than just stating that you cannot jump because you have a skill training, why not ask if we want to pause our skill queue and jump yes/no. Then after the jump ask do we want to resume skill training yes/no?

Drone control

When you tell your drones to attack a target, they should attack the target until they receive another order from yourself, or the target dies.

Right now, you tell them to attack, then some or all will attack another target. Order again, and they still sometimes switch.

Very annoying.

Modifying an order should default to having the order amount highlighted.

Anything I do intentionally should not make my wallet button, "My Wallet" tab, or Transactions tab blink. I know I changed something, I don't need three notifications. I need to know when someone else has done something to modify either one of my orders or my balance.

I have more than one.

- The bounds of the window control buttons in the top right of menus are smaller than implied by their graphic. This results in often needing to click two or three times to close or minimize a window. Annoying on a constant ubiquitous basis. See Fitts' Law.

- I'd like to be able to drag a charge over an existing charge on a weapon in the fitting panel. You know what I'm trying to, just do it. Also a million other things that you know what I mean when I try to do them. Just do them.

- I'd love the ability to share overview and general layout configurations with other characters. Not the half-baked Import feature we have now, but a make-this-character's-ui-exactly-like-this-other-character's.

- I'd like to be able to modify my overview settings and then click 'Save', overwriting the current setting profile. I don't want to have to enter the same name as an existing one, and then confirm my decision. Also, while it doesn't need to be case-sensitive, I'd prefer you kept the case I typed - i.e.: "PvP".

- I'd like FAR more corporation logo options.

- In the character customization screen, I'd like the color of the icons for the clothing items to more accurately represent the color of the actual model. They are way off.

- I'd like it if my ship didn't have to adjust its pitch to some imaginary reference plane.

- I'd like to suppress the notification about an available character customization but still be able to re-customize when I wanted. A button for this would be great.

- I'd like to be able to roll my scroll wheel over any scrollable content and have that content automatically pick up the input. This currently works sporadically at best.

- I'd like more control over the vertical sorting of entities in my overview. I want to be able to, say, put all static structures on top, sorted by type and then distance, all players next sorted by distance, and then all NPCs below that sorted by distance.

- I'd like to be able to deactivate a module and while it's still finishing its cycle, click it again to 'cancel' the deactivation, so that it continues cycling as if I'd never deactivated it.

- I'd like to be able to fire my weapons as a group, or individually, without adjusting their grouping.

- I'd like to be able to assign a hotkey to the overview Tag function. Say, CTL+NUM1 to tag an item "1". The context menu labyrinth is just not suitable for this in the heat of combat.

- It would be nice if in the Market window, when I'm in the Groups view and switch to the details view, then switch back to Groups view, it kept my position in the Groups view. I know I've got it set to load changes, but you could still get it close most of the time.

- In space, I'd like a context menu option for the next point (in system) on my route. I want to right click and have easy, obvious access to that next gate without having to chase it down in the overview. Something like "Route: Stargate to Penirgman".

- When I set a destination on a station I'd like a context menu option in space when I'm in that system that will warp me to the station; something like "Destination: Penirgman IV-III Naval Assembly Plant".

- I want to be able to sell a station container when I'm done with it, not only after the auditing period expires. Seriously.

- More sophisticated filtering in the star map. Show me only 0.3 systems within 10 jumps, for example.

- Better font. B!=8, O!=0.

- Use a currency symbol for prices if you must, but stop wasting space with " ISK" at the end of them. What other currency would it be in? Yen? Potatoes? Maybe LP and such, but ISK prices are generally self-explanatory.

- Allow me to close any window with the same button I used to open it. (Click the market button to open, click it again to close.)

Market idea :

* stop erase completed orders, when you have lot of orders that make our live very harder to found witch stuff' order is finish

* keep completed orders in order window and add a 'clean' button to remove them or

* transfert them in a 'finished orders' tab

1. Please oh please give us the option to specify how containers' contents are displayed. Every time I loot wrecks, open a new ship's cargohold, open a new secure container, etc. everything is in the annoying to me "Icons" view and with a few columns I don't find useful. How irritating that I can't make a preferred view setup.

2. Isn't it possible to make it so that after I execute things like clone jumps and implant changes I don't have to manually pause and then re-start my skill queue? Seriously, out of every 1000 times someone does either of these things, how many times will they *not* want to resume their skill training?

3. Poor drones still don't know how to focus fire, and sentries even go as far as lying about it (not focusing fire despite what the icon by targets indicates, but the combat log and the hostiles' damage bar clearly indicate that one-two of the sentries is being a dum-dum).

4. When jumping between systems in a pod, often the pod ends up outside the jump distance from the gate, presumably because it's so much smaller and so much less massive than ships. Grrr.

- the size of probes jumping randomly on occasion
- the fact that you have to double click to open contracts simply to verify that "nope, that isn't a BPO"
- looking for empty copy/research slots requires clicking 50 items/stations in a list
- that you can't change the quantity of items in an order, only the cost
- that you have to get out of your ship and stop training simply to clone jump.
- ALL of the "delay timers" that add nothing to the game - like "you just docked! please wait 90 seconds before changing ships" or "you just changed to the wrong ship! please wait another 160 seconds before doing that again" ...
- the fact that you have to undock to adjust your overview/button layout and then wait again to dock up again
- downtime EVERYDAY! maybe not a problem for some, but the only time I have away from work+fam is in the morning before work. sucks loosing 30+ minutes of that EVERYDAY!
- the minimum size of windows being set to way-to-large for a number of windows
- faction items not being on the normal market

- while in reply mode on the boards you can only see the first post - making quoting multiple replies a painful process.
- that when clicking reply and being taken to the login screen, it dumps you back into the post rather than the reply page.
- that "preview" is a two-click process

Why do I need to enter a jumpbridge password EVERY time I jump into a new system?

Why can't my ship store the last password I entered and keep using that until I enter a new one?

Also, there should be a "sell all" option which would automatically sell everything you highlighted at the best market price. No more clicking on 1000 items in Jita and selling individually.

And have a tick box option allowing auto-repackaging. This would mean if you tried to sell something that had not been repackaged, it would be automatically repacked and then sold, without the need to cancel the sell order, repackage it, refind the item (repacking something randomly moves it in your inventory), re click on market details because you've now forgotten what price you were going to sell it at, then re-sell it.

And CHANGE THE FONTS so that reading the text does not feel like a visit to the opticians!

Number one, the ability to either disable or dim the skybox. I think it's too bright, makes checking module status at critical moments nigh on impossible and for me kills the 'cold, dark unforgiving void' feel, which I would prefer.

In fact, I care about the visual feel more than the disappearing module icon issue.

Also, in the station hanger it would be great to be able to repackage and stack all in one context menu command, call it 'tidy hanger', and preferably without having to select everything beforehand (although, doing away with selection might be too much of an ask)

The same option for items in the ships cargohold and station containers would be nice too.

I enjoy the autopan feature when you hover over a target but I wish it would do it ALL the time. I get frustrated waiting for it to take effect then nothing happening.

Great thread mate btw, thanks for sticking your neck out.

The "keep at range" presets in the right click menu. Seriously, 50m,200m,500m is a rather poor selection. Adding 2000, 5000, 10 000, 15 000 can't be that hard? Would be awesome.
