I'm not terribly new, but I am within my first year.
What will actually happen?? I'm still confused
So all our attributes change to 20/20/19/20/20 and learning skills disappear. Is that it?
The attribute ranks we recieved from the learning skills, they disappear yes?
There has to be more to this that I'm not getting.

They remove all traces of the Learning skills, you get +12 to all attributes, you respend the sp you had in Learning.

Why stop at learning skills.

All players need cap skills and armor skills are nice.
Don't forget shield skills.
And it would be nice to use all the best weapons as soon as i am in a ship that can use them.
Would be nice to have all ships too.

Do away with skills and just give everything.

Not if you're an industry/trading/corp character. + your argument is flawed.

My main has 120+ SP (noob) and I've played this game for 6 years.

That being said, learning skills are a drain. They're a drain for new players, they're a drain for old players. They needded to be removed.

Removing learning skills is one of the best thing to ever happen to this game.

Why stop at learning? Because they really serve no purpose. All other skills serve a prupose, so your argument has no merit and is quite naive. Or stop trolling.

Can't wait until it's released.

Learning skills were universally required and reviled by players, as well as unwanted by CCP.

Because they're the only skills that only affect meta-mechanics and which have no useful in-game effects.

This pro-Learning argument is about:

[ ] lazy people, as if learning skills take effort
[ ] choice and complexity, even though it's a non-choice and a no-brainer
[ ] losing ones advantage, even if it's better for the game a a whole
[x] slippery slope fear, even without any evidence
[ ] AD/HD newbs and patience, even though patience is no requirement to play
[ ] misunderstandings about the new mechanisms

Neither CCP nor the anti-learners have ever argued against any other skills. Fact is that every skill has impact on your in-game abilities, except learning skills. And no, a fulltime trader doesn't need your list of skills. And as a matter of fact, it's always the pro-learners who bring forth this non-argument.
The "slippery slope" argument is flawed.

6 years old and only 120 sp?

I know all other skills serve a purpose. The Learning skill itself however does serve a purpose. It gives an additional 10% to training time. Other than that I don't really care. I could use a few million sp that I earned a long time ago.
Something your argument needed was some spell checking. Wink

Ok, so you're just trolling in this thread. As you know he meant 120+ million sp so you're just trying to make something out of nothing.

Even, when trolling, one is saying something against the removal of learning skills, hes beaten up in minutes by Jennifer and her/his following squad.

Well played, made me smile.

You are still Nr. 1 on my list. And who knows what December 14/15th does to my mind? A little patience, Jen.

I am for the learning skills getting credited however i would like to keep the 10% learning.
And yes i know i am getting years worth back that the 10% would have given me. Maybe i like seeing the extra 10%. Maybe i enjoy having a decimal in my total attributes. Who cares. I am more entitled to an opinion on the matter than a couple of coward smack talking alts.

Why would i give a **** about a 2 month old alt or noob main?
Jennifer has not logged enough time in eve to even have an opinion.
I mean if she wants to provide us with the knowledge of who her main character is then maybe she would have some credibility.

Postman i could also care less about what you have to say on the subject. Over a year old and 0 standings. Meaning even if you are not a alt all your skills in trade skills or building would be done by now. so you have little to say on the subject either.

Post with your mains. So we can see you are posting from experience instead of just being trolls.

Alts are not always trolls they can be of course. But even main characters sometimes troll.

Reason I use this character is because I keep the forums seperate to the game. The reason I do this is because I know from experience that some people will take what happens in the forums into the game.

The forums can sometimes get heated so why take that into the game, that's not why I play the game and I'm sure a lot of other people feel the same way.

Even if I don't get on with someone on the forums that does not mean I won't necessarily get on with them ingame. I just don't mix them, any disagreement on the forums is pretty much forgotten afterwards, it's just not worth dwelling upon.

You are the same person in game as you are out of it.
You really shouldn't be flaming someone or attacking their opinions with an alt when they are using their main.
So post with your main or don't reply to what i say.

Main?? What main? I have multiple accounts, and love all my little warriors equally. I am sure many others do too - this is just 'elitist lalala I wont listen to reason' nonsense.

Same argument could be said for "Posting with anything but your REAL LIFE NAME means your opinion is irrelevant because seriously, since when did 'main' lend more credibility? It's still an alias. Unless you're trying to tell me your real life personality has creepy white eyes, some weird black mark on your cheek and is called Ildryn .. Post with your real life name or you are wrong about learning skills, FACT.

haha .. silly people on the forums.
