Hello! My system spec are:

asus m2n-sli deluxe
4gb ram
nvidia geforce gts 450 1024m ddr5
western digital 160 gb hd + seagate barracuda 7200rpm 320gb hd
windows 7 x64 home edition

It seems while running two eve clients that my cpu runs @ 100% for the most part. It will bounce from 80-100%. I have all settings on client b (usually hauler or scout)set for performance (everything on low/off) and client a (main) on medium with 1024 resolution. Is it normal that it is taking up this much system resources? I just don't want to burn any thing up playing eve.. :D

Hmm that is unlikely for eve to take up 100% cpu on that chip id say, assume you have taken these stats from task manager?

also have you tested it running a program of similar intensity to see if its just eve?

It does not appear normal to take up that much CPU time, but it will cause no harm doing so, all decent hardware is rated to run at full capacity for years.

Often excessive cpu use can be down to Antivirus or anti spyware programs being very aggressive on file checks, try disabling them to see if they change anything.

I am having pretty much the same problem. This just started as of the Incursion patch. If I have two clients up, one of them "stops responding" and the processor locks in a wait state for a significant portion of the time. Lag becomes unbearable. I have an I7-920, 6 Gig ram, a freshly defragmented drive and the clients were running from separate directories. I will try again later, but I am not sure it has a problem with clients in the same folder.....if I can accurately reproduce the issue, I will try to run w/ log server and bug report it.

same problem, CPU and Ram shoot up to 100% usage when I start second client.

In windows mode or fixed screen...

Only happens when I enable AA via client HDR on.

Core i7 920 oc at 3.8 water cooled
gtx 295
and 4g of dual channle ram

Edit clients unusable for about 30 seconds unless i deleate one exe from task manager

Can confirm that the problem went away when I removed AA

I think my issue is a windows problem. My scvhost file seems to be using alot of resources so I am going to format my drive and start fresh. Thanks for the input :D

That svchost is most likely Superfetch. Mouse over it in task manager and it will tell you what services are running within that particular service host.

To go back to your original problem, does running full screen work? If it does, it's most likely an issue with EVE trying to use something that Windows 7 is also using to render Aero.

Yes. Full screen works without a hitch. It has to be the scvhost. Super fetch is in the services amongst a bunch others I do not need. I am now having troubles with getting the client to my laptop (So I can play fullscreen on main client.) I created a thread about it also but not much help in that dept.

AA= Anti aliasing
