Seriously.

I remember when we had to salvage by hand after entering a mission 30 AU away in a snowstorm flying an Ibis with no warp capabilities.

This has to stop!!

I remember not being able to get within 12 jumps of Yulai on Sundays with a massive 7000 people playing.

When I was a noob, wrecks didn't exist, loot came in 12 oz cans, and torpedoes could pod kill from the aoe alone.

Noob.

Back in my day we had no starter ships. We had to do the tutorial to get enough isk for our first ship.

The Tutorial was Worlds Collide.

And WE liked it.

Don't forget the 72m EACH Arbalest Sieges firing 700m/s-2-minute-flight-time-hit-inties-for-900-damage-each torps, 18m large Accom reps because T2 weren't out yet, 20m T2 cap rechargers because of <tinfoil>THE EVUL CARTELS</tinfoil>, missions spawning at gates/planets/stations with no need for an acceleration gate (you young'uns think you have mission invasions bad now? In my day you didn't even need to probe them down...which was a good thing because those probes used the most arcane and mysterious techniques known to man) and losing a what would be a cheap best named fit Raven now was equivalent to losing a fully deadspace fit Vindicator in terms of recovering the ISK.

oh and we didn't had lvl4's back then.

I remember doing lvl3's in a god-forsaken lowsec system to up my standings in preparation for it and you could do them in a shield tanked rail thorax!

...I also remember it took over a month gathering all the loot to build my first battleship (a typhoon), just to lose it to pirates when I went back to syndicate where my alliance home was.

Ahhh the Amarr tears when pulses got a range nerf from 45km optimal, along with the removal of their 7 heatsink Geddons using radio to hit out to 70km and still do ungodly damage.

Pirates were really pirates back then too, I remember my first trip to EC- and getting ransomed on the in gate, then sent packing back to hi-sec along with tips on how to avoid stuff like that the next time when they found out I was only 5 weeks old.

Also DJ Doby 4tw.
