I cant quite figure out the logic of the following. If you arrange your hangar items list in group order, they dont appear in alphabetical order in the names list. I know this sounds stupid, but heres what I mean:-

Heat Dissipation Amp
Exp Dis Amp
Exp Dis Amp
Exp Dis Amp
Heat Dis Amp
Heat Dis Amp
Mag Scat Amp
Mag Scat Amp

Why do most play the game but the odd 1 like ive listed, not?

I have been trying to log in for almost an hour and a half now and every time i attempt to log on the progress bar appears, gets to the authentication stage then i invariably get a message saying the socket is closed.
i have already tried the client repair tool, restarting my computer, changing networks and logging in different accounts

is this a known problem with the build, server load or would it be a problem with my computer

Fixed window mode is great, but there's a pretty big issue with it.

It seems like it uses the co-ordinate 0,0 on your primary display as a reference point to pin your client to it. This is great for one client and one screen.

However when you run multiple clients and use fixed window mode, they all snap over eachother one your primary display leaving most of your desktop empty, rather than snapping to fill the display they're located on when fixed window mode is selected.

This is true for whether you're using extended desktop over three displays, or if you're using ATI Eyefinity to span three displays.

I was kinda hoping it'd work so that you could fixed window three clients, one on each display. Sad

I'm running into a little issue related to EVEMon and the new Incursion patch.

Normally before the patch, I have the client options set to window mode (as opposed to full screen). Once it loaded, I would go to the Relocator on EVEMon and have it become full screen (but still in window mode inside client options, if that makes sense). This allowed rapid switching when alt-tabbing between a 2nd EVE client and/or other apps. In full sreen mode, alt-tabbing immediately minimizes the client. This becomes a hassle at some point when switching between EVE and other apps regularly.

So right now, post Incursion and patch-fix, the Relocator option in EVEMon doesn't seem to work when the client is in window mode. It sees the client's resolution, but when selected, nothing happens (whereas before, it would make it full screen). Leaving it in window mode or fixed window mode makes alt-tabbing easy, but the client is choppy. Full screen mode minimizes the client when alt-tabbing and becomes even more complicated with two clients running.

It's a bit of an inconvenience, nothing terrible, but thought I'd throw it out there. I'm guessing a fix is needed on the EVEMon side, unless someone has a workaround.

Thanks!

EDIT: ATI 5770 is my card.

I don't have the exact same setup, but I used the relocater to make a "full screen window" in EveMon as well. Its actually built into the options of the game now. Full Screen, Windowed & Fixed Window. Its that last one you're looking for.

I've tried searching for this issue, but didn't see anything. After the patch, the majority of my interface is gone. When docked, I have no interface at all, after undocking (with right-click menu) I only have my propulsion and modules interface.

I'm sure I'm missing something obvious. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: Nevermind --- the patch defaulted to having my interface turned off (Ctrl-F9)

I'm not sure if it's me, but the fixed window mode isn't as smooth as full screen (window) mode. When I used the relocator option in EVEMon to make it full screen windowed mode, the frame rate was super high (as high and good as the full screen option in the client settings). It's not the same with fixed window mode, somewhat choppy but playable.

Problem/Solution
EVEMon autorelocator doesn't work anymore: Simply run the game without the autorelocator and use "Fixed Window", choose your resolution and voila, EVE is "faux full screen".

Multi-monitor grinds to a halt: Does anyone know why this happens and how to fix it? Whenever I pull my client just an inch over to the other monitor, my game grinds to a halt and displays roughly 0.5 FPS. (Win 7 x64, 6 Gb RAM, Nvidia GTX 275 latest drivers, Core i7 @2.66 GHz)

Excessively choppy when initating warp and sometimes mid-warp.

It would appear that whenever I tell my ship to warp anywhere, the computer becomes choppy, as if it froze intermittently. Mouse cursor will skip across the screen, text will appear in chunks, the game skips forward and the entire computer "freezes" then moves in short bursts. This happens when I activate warp, and sometimes midwarp, and when I exit warp. Inbetween I'm running smoothly at 60 FPS.

I got this resolved. I had to tweak around with it a bit and now it's smooth as full screen mode in fixed window mode \o/

Please try clearing your clients cache and reboot your computer. If you can't clear the cache from inside the client you can delete everything in this directory: C:/Users/XXXXX/AppData/Local/CCP/EVE/c_eve_tranquility/cache/.

I also have a question for you, are you running EVE through Wine on a Linux box?

Disable AA and I bet you get full speed again. It seems EVE doesn't like to render one or multiple clients with AA that has a total pixel area larger than the primary display.

About 2 months ago, we started a thread on this on the test server forum. There we asked players for feedback on the changes we were making and then reacted to the feedback by moving options around.
When you mention it, "activate gate" does sound like something that should have been at the top of the list, but for some reason got left out (there are hundreds of right-click options, and some of them just fall through the cracks).

That option shouldn't be there so close, as it is seldom used, and it's results are drastic!

I have this issue, too, and lost ~30mil due to that already. Sure, be careful and stuff - but while I could imagine the "cancel order" option even further down, I'd just be happy to have a "Do you really want to cancel the market order?" reminder.
I have always missed this function, even before Incursion - could you please consider adding that one? We have a (removable) reminder that adding rigs is potentially wasteful, but don't get a reminder if we mis-click on a market order that might cost even more? Please!

Of course, some more distance between "Modify order"/"View Market details" and "Cancel order" would still be best - after all, as stated in the original thread, modifying an order is the most common option taken, "Show info" is rarely used, but I wouldn't mind it being stuffed between "modify order"/"View Market details" (top) and "cancel order". Reminder as backup is still valid IMO.

Running a GTX 480 graphics card.

I have same problem with GTX 470 2 way SLI, all I get as an option is Disabled.

I have a GTX 260 - i7 - Windows 7 64bit Ultimate and I only have the "disabled" Anti aliasing option too. Others who also have the exact card have no problems with AA.

If you have advanced settings enabled in the system menu it's possible to select Depth/stencil format and/or color depth that doesn't support anti aliasing.

Try to:
Set Color Depth to: 24-bit color
Set Depth/stencil format to: 32-bit z-buffer with 8-bit stencil
reopen the system menu and see if it helps.

If that fails see if you're forcing settings through your video card settings and try disabling that.

Remote selling seems to have been disabled, even though I have all the trade skills up to IV or V

These issues are known and will be fixed in next client update.

how long are we talking about in regards to the next client update as the remote selling bug has completely removed everything good that youve changed with this patch imo.

Sad

You have to pick the correct display adapter in the system menu(the option above windowed/fullscreen mode)
