The Sansha are coming, and they intend to take everyone. But some few lucky souls may have a choice in the matter, however dark.

"The Plague Years is a new EVE Chronicle written by CCP Abraxas.

another amazing read. Nice entry for the sanshas and a relief to read a straight forward story after a long time.

and another gripping piece of grit with added explosives.
to abraxas: do you know Dan Abnett (of the warhammer 40k Gaunts ghosts)? I find that both your stories have the same combination of humanity and madness that makes them so real.

Nice read. I am amused with the whole 'I come in peace' angle.

Good man. And may all Quislings like Termar meet a similar end - face down in their own blood and unmourned by anyone with enough Self left to remember their names.

First Chronicle I`ve read in 7 years of being involved in Eve.
If the other chronicles are as good as this then I think I`ve some backlog to get through :)

Where do I turn my carebear butt into the Sansha? I was just going to quit one character at a time whenever incursions hit but it seems there's a way out. I can surrender and become one of them? i want one of those 2000 dps ships with 2000 dps tank. Cross corp fleets don't work in FW. How will they work against something as scary as the Sansha. Where can I feed intel to them? Do I have to work my way up to a Sansha carrier or can I just be assimilated and be given all the skills and ships by surrendering? Can I mindlessly follow orders and attack capsuleers without concord intervention? Yes, Sign me up. I want to be one of the Sansha.

The art department always does a really good job of these paintings for each of the chronicles. Id like to see what they'd come up as a visual concept for the various kinds of Sansha slaves wandering about with their implants and cybernetics exposed; maybe something created through the new Incarca character constructor even. Having no outward distinction between them and real humans overly humanizes what has apparently happened, particularly when they are described in the chronicles as having grotesque mutations/modifications.

I read these chronicles from time to time, some of them are a bit hard to follow, but I did enjoy this one immensely!

This is the first story I have read since I became a fan on Facebook. And I must truely say I enjoyed it and look forward to many more links on Facebook.

The story was interesting and easy to follow. Makes me wish I knew more of the backstory. Being part of the game since its release in 2003 with a couple years off here and there, makes me wish I had followed more of the background you guys were providing in stories like this. Has I said before, I am looking forward to many more story links thru Facebook.
