Hey I was talking to some friends at the bar about a chart showing the pros and cons to believing vs not believing in a higher power.

It had a certain name for this chart and a interesting YouTube video. Any help finding the name for this chart or a link to video would be awesome.

People who don't believe won't start just because there are pros to having a faith but I'm interested in this chart if you find it.

I think you could answer yourself the question. Science, and thats the base of Atheism, think they understand the universe around us and the is no higher power.

Problem is, that science itself tells us that they can only explain 4% of the universe. 96% they call this mystic 'dark matter' and 'dark energy'. Next probleme is that this 1 universe is not the only one if you believe our sciene. there are 10^32 other universe. and then the best : on the same place you are more then 8 other dimensions. Shocked

The querstion you ask is, is your Consciousness one of this dimensions and is the something i connect with us.

in mathe that there is no god is 4% / (8*10^32). so yes, there is nearly still a chance of 100% there is a higher power.

I'm religious too, but don't be daft. There is no logical rational for belief in a higher power. Logically if something cannot be proved to exist, it must not. Religion is something emotional and of the soul.

Why do people keep making threads like this? Do they never learn? All that results is lots of trolling and severe oversimplification of each side's positions. Rolling Eyes

Western culture tends to use atheism to mean something more like nihilism, but they're still new to the whole thing so it's ok.

In eastern cultures atheism has been around for centuries, with things like Buddhism and Taoism.

Taking the huxley position then?

There are lots of people who are spiritual and believe broadly in stuff that is beyond current human comprehension but don't want to align themselves with any particular dogmatic religion.

Carl Sagan was known as a renowned atheist, but he proved mathematically that there is an extradimensional being which has significant effect on our universe. But to describe it in ways we as human beings could understand would be like trying to describe the square root of a negative number.
