Edit to also add: And maybe next year it can just be called 'Geddon' (kill anything you like at any time) since I see it now covers some other ship types. Is this going to be as random in future? I ask in order to stock up on suitable BPO's etc. Please let us know what ships are going to be killed next time around. |

Check the Hulkageddom page, you will see what ships there are prizes for. Also, just give us the system, and ill make a special effort to show up and clean your Hulks, just for you ^-^ |

Hulks are pretty safe as long as they're in Caldari Space. Plus I like to mine during EU prime so I'm doubly safe. |

So far the KB is showing *ONE* dead Noctis by Jax Savage. He's going to wander off with 100 mil, a Navy Comet and THREE, count 'em, THREE Catalyst BPOs unless people start fumigating these systems with their Noctii problems! |

wouldnt it be a really bad idea to post yer fit here? Then the hulkageddon gankers can plan for such fits lol Nice, yer up to 28 kills today. Does it feel like youre accomplishing something?
I've seen you post comments similar to this at least three times in the forums in the last few days - does it really bother you that much that some non-PvPers are getting together and making their own event on the back of Hulkageddon? Do you feel left out? Are you too afraid or unable to join in in either event? As for "accomplishing something" - what the hell were you expecting? There is nothing that can stop a half competent gank - did you envision non-PvPers sacrificing their PvE character's security status & isk (probably implants too) to suicide themselves (intentionally or not) against experienced outlaws? As for the number of kills & posting losses - so far there are no losses as we wait until people are flashy red before shooting and usually Concord or the Faction Police are on the way so there's usually not too much to worry about. RTFM for the competition. Griefergeddon currently has 152 kills, not 28. Considering that we have to anticipate & be one step ahead of the gankers to get a kill (i.e. be in the right place at the right time as the gankers attack), I'd say that we're doing pretty good. If you think that you can do better, then please, by all means, go ahead and show us the way. Anyway, in conclusion, I would just like to say that you sir, are an idiot. Have a nice day. |

God, there's nothing more pathetic than a dweeb trying to force out a cliched internet tough guy meme where there is none - please, I beg you, show me exactly where there were tears in my post. Do you even know what the tears meme means? It means complaining, whinging, crying over something - in case you didn't notice, or it went over your head, I was insulting you, not spouting tears as your delusional little ego would like to believe. Interesting how you state the kills for 1 day for one event against the total kills for another event... you're right, that's totally not biassed or odd at all! And who ever said that we thought we were doing something important? You're the only one who keeps on saying that - like I said, RTFM for the event. Most of us are in it for the same reason people are in Hulkageddon - for a bit of fun and the possibility of some prizes. We just choose to play by different rules to the gankers. Remember now - show me where there were tears in my posts or STFU, m'kay? |

EVE is unusual. Not only does it attract the MMO base that really dig the Skinner box element (push butan, receive reward), but the sandbox element attracts a more aggressive element more reminiscent of a Stanford Prison Experiment environment. One thing Philip Zimbardo has pushed since he conducted those experiments is that everyone on this earth is capable of being a jerk in the proper environment regardless of your level of white knighting. Im going to keep on saying it: If what goes on in EVE bothers you enough that you need to post and complain about all the ebil people playing, then you need to unplug. You are clearly too emotionally involved in internet spaceships. Maybe you should go out and make a real human connection. |

I'm seeing a lot of kills on the killboard from 0.3, 0.4 space... do they count?
Also, if Helicity would allow me a small request, being able to sort the killboard by columns (such as ship type) would be sweet... or possibly to make it easier on the systems involved links to smaller killboards for a particular ship type only?
Just a thought. |

If it is on the killboard..it counts. So if happen to be camping a lowsec route between Rens and...Amarr or Jita for example..and catch dozens and dozens and dozens of industrials...why not join in? You might win something just by doing what you do. (This statement subject to be overruled by Helicity, who is actually the one running this..I'm just on staff) This also means if your favorite way of blowing a hulk up is to can flip and use a frigate alone...be our guest. While it is nowhere near as satisfying on the 'surprise!' factor it can be satisfying in its own way. (Or if you are like me, and like to use a battle badger or other industrial for the purpose, more power to you) |

Seeing as he's not KOS in empire...he could have done it the old fashioned way...can baiting. And I'm not above saying some folks might...er...try to pad their stats by using low skilled alts (iteron 3's and procurer..hmmm) But this is eve-online...always bet on stupid. So the iteron pilot may have been trying to get his jet-can of ore back. I've performed similar feats in the past. (Usually not with the exact same fit on the iteron every time...but...again..'always bet on stupid' usually can explain weird stuff.) |

Edited by: Aleksandra Esten on 22/02/2011 19:05:59Let me start off saying I'm a miner and I've loved HAG since it started. After coming back from an Eve vacation and seeing HAG 4 in full swing I have to say I'm a bit concerned about the direction it's taking. It used to be more about killing the bot miners (Burninate them!) and the higher level miners in the Eve-verse and you left the newbies and barges alone. Now I see you're killing all levels of miners and even the indies and it just doesn't seem as cool anymore. This is not a whine, it is just a question to Helicity and all the other HAG'ers: Why have you included lower ships and newer players in your suicide targets? And again for those that didn't read the fist sentence: 1) I LIKE Hulkageddon. 2) I think it does great things to the Eve economy by shaking up the mineral prices and industry in general. 3) I find great enjoyment in reading all the "U kiled my ship! Die in real world" posts. |
