Nothin' tastes sweeter than the candy you steal from a lil kid, huh? Big man, real big man.

Mang I'm telling you that I saw a little girl having an ice cream down the street, so I stopped, got out of my car, ran up to her, punched her in the face, and ate her ice cream while she cried. Then I threw the cone at her.

IT WAS DELICIOUS.

Boy, you need to learn the pleasure of getting your candy from a man. Then you'll feel somethin' big and awesome.

Get your joys from the defeat of the weak? That tells everyone how strong you really are.

I cannot take pleasure in the demise of a carebear, their tears come too easy.

What joy is there in easy victories? You get joy from easy victories, man you are truly weak. You may as well be a carebear yourself. They as satisfyin' to kill as any npc rat.

You satisfied with those kills, you may as well go run missions.

does retriever kills count for anything?

except the nice feeling of blowing up a miner.

I get the idea behind it, but it makes me sad that it's not so much anymore about punishing afk mining as it is about just blowing **** up. GJ on making an industrial's life hell for a week and a half...?

I'll probably just keep doing missions and outfit a thrasher to salvage them instead of a noctis. Gotta get my Caldari Navy standing up anyways.

Not a fan but I guess it's a sandbox game and it's not against the rules, hey ho ugh

Only thing I'll say on the subject is about the whole 'I'm a suicide ganker but that doesn't say anything about who I am IRL' argument. Can't agree with that personally, I would never take part in this, much less suicide gank a really expensive ship, because I just wouldn't get any satisfaction from it. I wouldn't enjoy destroying a helpless civilian* target that could, in some cases, represent months worth of effort for the victim.

I'd feel guilty about it, but you suicide gankers don't feel guilty about it, you enjoy destroying civilian targets and profiting from it, you enjoy gloating about it and then you enjoy reading the messages left by your genuinely upset victims afterwards**.

And I am not whining. All of that is fine by me. That is the game, it's an incredibly harsh environment by MMO standards, it's part of what makes EVE so special and keeps a lot of the instant gratification crowd away. It's a game where I'm allowed to be a carebear running away and you're allowed to be a mean old pirate blowing me up. Not that I enjoy being blown up but I accept that that's the risk I run every time I undock and I try to learn from my mistakes.

And the only point I'm trying to make is this: the way you play EVE IS a reflection of who you are as a person IRL, and anyone who claims otherwise is stupid or in denial.

I'm not saying it sums you up, it's not a full psychological profile or anything, but it does reflect a part of your personality: I get my PvP from corp wars, I've been known to let a damaged enemy get away before now and I would never ambush someone who undocked in high sec just looking to make a few ISK (and no, not because of 'honour' or somesuch nonsense, I'd just feel like a jerk for doing it) and that says something about who I am IRL. You guys will do your gank thing, make your damn dirty ISK and have a laugh doing it, good for you and have a nice day but don't deny that that says something about who you are too.

*and don't deny there's any such thing as a 'civilian' target in EVE (I know the rules of the game don't recognise a difference, the difference is in the mind of the player, almost a reflection of who you are IRL you might say), if you genuinely believe there's no difference between someone undocking in a tanked up faction BS in low sec looking for a fight and someone undocking in 1.0 in a marauder looking to make some ISK then guess what: that says something about IRL you too.

**oh and for anyone laughing about what a whinging little carebear $#%@£! I am, guess what: that says something about you IRL too.

Its always been my opinion that the white knights in this game have lived very sheltered lives. The world is full of gray and everybody is capable of breaking moral boundaries.

If we were all starving tomorrow, the vegetarians would be the first you would see chasing cows around a field with a hammer.

I expect a lot of misplaced sense of entitlement and a lot of QQ when they can't have their way for a few days.

So far, the game has not let me down!

As all villainesses would, Azishkra’elhykai Mizamel lazily crossed her legs as she started to lounge in the captain’s seat. Her steely eyes watched as the rest of her crew made the last minute preparations before undocking for battle – that is, a suicide mission.

The call had been put out: a bounty on New Eden’s most hard-working industrialists had been announced. In moments, all the populated systems in the known universe will light up with the glorious nova of perishing ships – aggressor and aggressed alike igniting in beautiful fireworks. Truly an artistic masterpiece.

And Azi was simply a participant – one of many artists swarming out there to paint the universe as brightly as she could. And the best painting? Ah now, that’s the best part – a ‘commission’ reward that can last a capsuleer their lifetime.

“Bay 355 has been cleared, captain. We’re ready for undock.”

“All emergency suits have been checked, and pod bays are at standby.”

“Hybrids are winding up, and drone bay has been prepped.”

“Undock when ready. Open comms to the Others. Today, we hunt.”

Those words sent a shiver down the spines of five crew members manning the Catalyst Class destroyer Poison. Those words carried the meaning of death.

~~

There are those that believe in morality, in justice, and in the power of ISK. While the first two tend to blend unintelligibly until there’s all the shades of grey, the latter often clashes against the others due to its tendency to go bat**** crazy at the flip of the… well… wallet.

In New Eden, it is often the case that one man’s loss becomes another man’s gain. In this case, as Poison landed at planet V, asteroid belt 4 of a currently undisclosed solar system along with two other similar-minded destroyers, one man’s loss was about to become three people’s gain.

“Have we all come out of warp?” Comms blared over the roar of the catalyst’s engines. Poison’s crew worked frantically, forcing the engine against inertia to haul the destroyer out of warp, and also rapidly orienting themselves to their target.

“Yes,” Azishkra’ehlykai Mizamel responded, before flicking off her mic, “Lock target when ready. I want the guns overclocked before firing. Activate the microwarp drive and launch the hob. Close in on target now.” The comms crackled to life again.

“Alright, guys! SolusLunes here! Countdown to attack, and ready your pods. We’ve got contact outside waiting for our victory. Engage simultaneously in THREE, TWO, ONE…”

The Mackinaw Class ORE vessel never saw it coming. I mean, why would it? In a CONCORD-secured system, those attempting to aggress such law-abiding citizens would be subject to severe punishment.

And yet, as it sat there with its distress beacon activated and its shield, armour and hull melting under the combined force of twenty-four guns aimed at it, the pilot of the Mackinaw regretted its faith in such a system. CONCORD wouldn’t be there until too late.

Aboard Poison, her crew whooped in victory as the ORE vessel illuminated the darkness of space in a spectacular display of fiery death. Warning lights blinked on. Things started showing on scan. CONCORD was coming.

Did it matter? Azi reflected on this briefly as her escape pod spun elegantly around in space. With the comms still on, she’d confirmed that the rest of her crew made it to safety, and the other two pilots who had committed the same criminal offenses were still alive and kicking. Not to mention, another friendly pilot was busy rummaging through the newly-made wrecks, bringing back anything that could be salvaged.

Azishkra’elhykai did the mental arithmetic again.

No. No it didn’t, she concluded with satisfaction as profitable ISK trickled into her wallet.

~~

In lieu of this, I would like to announce that I am currently co-ordinating with Helicity Boson on another Hulkageddon IV T-Shirt prize for first place in the individuals' awards.

So do pilots loose points for failed attempts at a kill? Maybe there should be prizes for the pilot/fleet that repels the most attacks. That way the care bares, like me, can enjoy Hulkageddon too... so put out a bait Hulk with some logistics.. now that would be fun :)

Well, from the events I've see this week, I would say that nerds/geeks doesn't fit. Nerds and geeks are supposed to be smart.

I've seen and been subject to a few attempts at ganking for Hulkageddeon, and the event hasn't started. Nor is the start date hidden. It only takes about 3 brain cells to find it.

BTW, how do you fail on a suicide gank against an untanked Covetor?

Hello my dear friends, to a new edition of your favorite EVE event, Hulkageddon 4!
[...stuff...]

In Hulkageddon 4 all mining vessels, orcas, freighters, haulers, noctis and primae count towards your score!

[...stuff...]

What will you include in HAG 5 ? scouting ships, battlecruisers ? Yes, the first ones are scanning for hidden belts/sites and the later are commonly used for gas harvesting...
And in HAG 6, you could include Rohks, Apocs, Ospreys, bantams ?
And an idea for HAG 7... Dreads and Titans. Yes trust me, I saw several titans in the same fleet mining Veldspar. I even have pics!

And one day soon, you will simply announce a week of universal gank fest. Free for all guys, shoot what you want at will...

Including freighters, haulers, noctis and primae is not a very wise move imho... Although killing a hauler in belt among bots is a good move (if you are sure those are boting)

Hey i said IMHO, I am not ranting Razz
As where I am mining, I doubt we will see a lot of want-easy-free killers Very Happy

Yes, this is my main Twisted Evil

Edit: love your little text, Azi Cool

Be that as it may, it says something about gankers that they are more or less the only ones who have wet dreams about such an occurrence.

I'm a member of Talocan United, a proud commonwealth of corporations that live in Anoikis (wormhole) space. Sadly, we see our domain has been generally neglected by this esteemed event. NO MORE, WE SAY! In order to combat rampant complacency and cravenness among players, I would like to sponsor a new prize for the highest number of kills against all mining barges specifically in Anoikis space.

EVENT: "Running Silent, Running Deep"
SPONSOR: www.TalocanUnited.com
DETAILS: Most number of kills versus all Mining Barges while in Anoikis (wormhole) space. Any system with name J###### (e.g. J123456) is considered a part of Anoikis.
PAYOUT:
1st Place: 500 mil isk
2nd Place: 350 mil isk
3rd Place: 150 mil isk

The best part about this? No sec hit while in wormhole space.

It's time to remind miners that they aren't safe anywhere. YARRRR!!

We have a ton of new prizes! I've grouped all the NEW ONES in this post:

included are, amongst others, a unique t-shirt, a billion isk for most freighter ganks and much much more!

Go check it out!

Prize name "Deep Space Mine" (for individual not corps)

size: 1 billion isk

achievement: most hulk kms in 0.0 space

You just have to be on the km for it to count to your total. It must be 0.0 space, not wormholes, hisec or lowsec. Must be hulks (who would fly a nonhulk in 00 anyway?) No limit on the ship types or numbers used to kill the hulks.

Already confirmed this prize with Helicity and sent in the dough. Let's see some 00 drama!

2. Stockpiling a supply of Mackinaws to sell after this event is over.
