Must say I'm very surprised by the results, reading the theads about the suibject I expected it to be much closer!!

It seems it's the pro-learners that were the vocal minority all along ..

Vast majority of Eve players do not use this forum. Therefore any pandering to the whines and complaints on this forum are in fact pandering to a small minority of the Eve population.

The ONLY way to get any real indication is to have some ingame mechanism to ask all the active players.

In conclusion everyone on this forum is in the minority.

That's nonsense. Polls are used IRL to very accurately predict for instance elections. You don't need real elections to get a 95% accurate picture of the whole population.

The question however is how represenative the forum dwelllers are compared to the full population.

It's quite odd to see so many people to complain about something that would benefit everyone. Really, everyone should be jumping up and joy with this move by ccp.

Well at least nobody can say now that the majority of people want to keep learning skills. That was really starting to annoy me since it was obvious they were the small minority to begin with.

I suspect that if the question were: "Do you agree that the sky appears blue on a cloudless day?" you'd receive similar results.

But hey, it's on the internet, so it must be true.

So as of right now with 387 votes..

Yes 326 84%

No 61 16%

I know this isn't 100% accurate as not all of eve is voting but the sample poll should represent a good part of eve as the forums is where people like to cry.

I think over all most of eve agrees that this is a good change for eve.

You could run this poll a thousand times on a thousand different forums with every poll never having a single person vote on more than one and people will still say that each one is too small and does not represent the whole.

Fact is if every person in eve voted using this one poll the percentage would remain relatively the same. Landslide numbers approve the removal of learning skills.

I voted, but this page is far too easy to abuse...pick a number 1 to 10, if odd in 24 hours get rid will win, if even, in 24 hours keep will win.

Yes I think so too.

There´s statistical formulas for this but it´s too long ago for me to remember how to calculate them.

Math test: --------------------

We have a population of N = 300,000 balls, mixed red and white.
We randomly pick 387 balls (without putting any back), 326 of which (84%) appear to be white.

task 1: Calculate the probability that at least 51% of the balls of population N is white.
task 2: Calculate the probability that at least 75% of the balls of population N is white.
-------------------------------

I'm not sure about what the answer to your question is what I am certain it has something at least something to do with cake. I like cake. I played a video game once pulled portal. In this game the object was to receive the cake unfortunately when it came time to receive the cake I was greatly disappointed as the computer construct designed to aid me in my game play attempted to murder me instead of giving the cake. It is reasons like this that I refuse to accept mouth as the natural order of life. So to answer questions no is the correct answer please go away and do not like to be any more about the cake thank you

If you want to know who voted for this, everyone did. We voted for the CSM, and they got with CCP to make these changes.

So if you don't like the results, vote for better CSM members next time.

Breaker is right. When I read the CSM comment on the official thread I was wondering if they represent the playerbase, as the votes were really tight in favour, the abolishers won by only 1 vote. So in this case, they weren't representative but we only found out after this poll.

On the other hand it's always hard to vote for people or parties as they never represent 100% what you want. This is the problem in every democracy, you always vote for a whole group of ideas, you can't vote for every topic individually.

You may have considered them friends but many more did not.

Anyway everything has been said on this subject multiple times. I think it's time to put up my feet, relax and wait for the new age of Eve to roll in on the 14th (or at least about then).

The people that are for the skills that are still posting are generally just trolling now. So it's time to stop posting, yes I know it's cruel to starve trolls but so is over feeding. And they pretty much feed on anything. Ok, so they may make one last meal out of this, if so, so be it.

They weren't real friends. I saw them sleeping with your best friend and saying things that I'd rather not repeat... all 11 at once.
