I can't be arsed to trawl through all these threads, so I might as well ask here: Are the good old "run these data discs, get an implant" type of important missions ever gonna come back, or is the loyalty point offer system the only way to get implants from agents nowadays?

Important missions are still here, in the form of Storyline missions. You get contacted by an agent through evemail once in a while, and thats a Storyline (or Important) mission.

Iīve heard of ppl getting attribute implants from normal agent rewards and others from mission rat drops.

I guess some of us are those colossaly unlucky guys Rolling Eyes

I havenīt seen an attribute implant since exodus came on and I already got over 100k LPīs from my lvl4 agent, meaning Iīve done quite a few missions. Sad

Well, perhaps you could at least be "arsed" to read the stickies?
They are there to prevent this kind of spam Neutral

Short answer:
- Storyline missions replace important missions
- Implants are supposed to be in storyline mission rewards, but currently aren't
