yes, works fine now!

4 questions:
.) you use a seperate tool for market uploads, thats ok. why do you dont take the eve-metrics feed additional to complete your data? (http://eve-metrics.com/api/feed)
this feed contains the uploads from the eve-metrics upload client with an indicator if the data comes from a cache-file or manual export file.
.) is it possible to search for efficient trades (buy this and this and deliver it there)
.) is there a forum for beta testers or sould i use this (single!) thread for feedback?
.) if i use the feedback function on your page, can you reply to this?

thanks, SerM

Q1) Thank you for the heads up! Was not aware of this resource, but will look into the possibility of integrating. More data to mesh!

Q2) Not currently, but in the works as we speak. Plus a few extra features that will come in handy with the process.

Q3) This forum post is monitored for feedback as well as the website provided feedback form. Availability to respond may vary depending on time of day.

Q4) Yes. Also working to expand the error reporting to include other methods of response.

It's certainly got the potential to be a very cool tool. The market comparison section particularly interests me. Good work, though! It looks like this site has taken a lot of effort to build. I'm impressed Very Happy Keep up the good work! I'm looking forward to seeing the rest!

Kidzukurenai Datael - Thanks for the kind feedback. This project has been in development for sometime, and hoping to deploy some additional features soon. Today we finally installed the SSL for sensative information.

Knupp - The current Client app version is 0.96 which is what you have installed. This new version is not manditory since no code breaking changes, so it should not prevent you from uploading the market data. I would recommend you re-run the application and let me know what was the previous read out line before the [Transmission Canceled] message.

Thanks again for the feedback.

> Validating Request...
> Validation Complete
> Contacting Service...
> Service is Online
> Authenticating Transmission...
> Authentication Complete
MARKETRON > Hello Knupp Montana
MARKETRON > The version you are using is no longer compatible with this service
MARKETRON > A NEW client (v.96) upgrade is available
MARKETRON > Please visit EVEMesh to upgrade
MARKETRON > THIS UPGRADE IS REQUIRED TO CONTINUE
> [ Transmission Canceled ]

Then i got pointed to:
https://www.evemesh.com/login.aspx?returnurl=/members/market/download.aspx

Huge request:
When you are looking in market details for an item any section with a header ( i.e. compare tab has Region, Change, Avg Price, Quantity, Change, Updated and Days ), could you make those static, so they will always be visible and just scroll the data beneath them? That way I don't have to constantly go back up to remind myself what each column means.

Sinuous Grace - This forum post is the beta invite. You can use the beta key listed at the top of this post to register.

Knupp & Flip - I am looking into the issue that you are reporting about the client reporting the wrong version. To help me in my troubleshooting could you please let me know what operating system you are running and if 32 or 64 bit. The current version of the Marketron Client is v.0.96 and is downloadable from https://www.evemesh.com/Members/Market/Download.aspx . You will first need to manually uninstall the old version, using add/remove programs, before attempting to install the new version. We are working on automating the client upgrade process, but not ready for release just yet.

Neroo Tal - Yes a definite must have feature. In fact already have a working version which will be released as part of our next round of upgrades. No ETA on that yet.

I have the latest version of Marketron Client installed (0.96). It's running on a 64 bit laptop in Windows 7. To me it seems like there might be some problem with the decimal sign used. I live in Norway, so the standard might be different from where the program is written/tested.

Same problem here as Knupp and Flip.

SO: Windows 7 64 Bits

As stated above, maybe the problem is in comma/dot division.

Thank you for your patience.

I have deployed an updated version of the Marketron Client version 0.96b. This update addresses the issue reported by several people regarding the client version not being compatible with the web service API and/or converting to decimal value.

You can download this optional updated version at https://www.evemesh.com/Members/Market/Download.aspx. You will first need to manually uninstall the old version, using add/remove programs, before attempting to install the new version. We are working on automating the client upgrade process, but not ready for release just yet.

Please let me know if the issue has been corrected or still occurring with the new version, 0.96b.

The firewall is ok and there is no proxy activated. Is there a logfile where i can see the errors? The cached data (CachedMethodCalls) hasn't been deleted because the connection couldn't be established I think .

Tried the new client today, and it just skips all my files. This is the result:

> Validating Request...
> Validation Complete
> Contacting Service...
> Service is Online
> Authenticating Transmission...
> Authentication Complete
MARKETRON > Hello Filip Crescenzo
> Processing EveCache Files... Please Wait, this will take a few moments.

MARKETRON > Thank You Filip Crescenzo

> Files Skipped: 1

So it skips all my files, and says something about can't find the cache location. Also, you should implement some kind of log file that saves the whole output, because I can't scroll to the top when there is a lot of output.

Really like your site, we need something new now that Eve-Metrics is going away..!

Tried the uploader, got a very similar result to Filip Crescenzo. I turned on Debug and found that it was looking for the wrong folder. After fixing install path in the registry (it was pointing to my SiSi install) it worked, but you should probably add an option to edit the EVE install path manually.

Good find Jay. We did not compensate for individuals that have the test client installed (SiSi). We will make the necessary modifications and release an update along with the following features:

  • Ability to minimize client application

  • Ability to store and reload client configuration (i.e. username, password (encrypted), file path, etc) when application is launched and closed

  • Removal of empty market log data files, to prevent “failed” messages from being reported

  • Auto re-try of eve cache export files since not all cache files are processed during the initial pass due to file locks

  • Fix eve cache exporter to compensate for individuals that have the test client installed (SiSi)

I do not have a definitive ETA for this next update release, but should have it sometime this week. Thanks again for everyone’s help.

Will it be possible in the future to view market data with out added API info and registering. It will be a much more useful tool if the API info was in addition to the market data.

Also please don't send us our passwords unencrypted in emails.

It would also be nice to add a feature where we can view just the item value in all the regions, instead of just one.

Bolavaz

Good question Greshick. In the short term we do not have plans on expanding the non-member section of the website. The reason for this is that the concept behind EVE Mesh, is to mesh game related content and this includes the EVE API. Additionally the website is built in such a way to allow registered members to tailor the website experience via administrable settings and defaults. That being said, we are currently focusing on building out additional member functionality which incorporates the API with the Marketron and beyond. Once these features are completed, we will review the functionality and determine how much of it can be exposed to non-members (i.e. no API), and still retain relevance.

As for the ability to view the item value in all regions, we currently offer a “compare” feature, where members can compare the price of a given market item across multiple regions that have had their data updated within the last 7 days or 6 weeks. Comparing data across ALL regions is not very practical considering that the market data is not consistently updated for all market items across all regions. We are working on additional ways to view, compare and manipulate the market data, but not ready for release yet.

I tried to do the same with my EVE Online Steam Edition, however I couldn't find the path in the registry. Could you give me a hint where to find it so that I can change it, as well?
