just watched inception. what was all the hype about? it has been a while since i have seen a movie full of cheap effects, cliche dialog and overall thin plot all wrapped into two hours of fail. i heard warner brothers is going to let christopher nolan, the director of inception, direct the new superman too. god help us if that is true.

One of my buddies was actually raving about it and he hates Decaprio with a passion. I haven't seen it but I guess its one of those flicks that tries to throw you off repeatedly as they keep bouncing around in peoples heads and something about multiple levels of dreams and looking for clues for who's head your in or something like that.

Just hype.

$100 million of it.

I agree about the plot though. I think I commented about this when the film got its first thread in OOPE, but seriously: If this energy company CEO was so powerful, why didn't he just kill the threat? Or more importantly, why would he ever think that he could get the CEO of the other large energy company on the plane and not be recognised?

Look, I am all for having a film based in the mind and I liked the film in a general way - but you need to have the premise of the story be based with some sense of believability, if you are to have people believe in the fantasy of it. A CEO wants to get rid of his competition? And this is the only way he can think of doing it? Weak-sauce.

No wonder they threw $100 million at the marketing budget...

It was an alright movie, but not worth the hype it seems to have gotten. then again the simple minded masses are pretty easy to amuse... just look at the surcharge on 3d movies, I saw the cliche 3d "it's coming right at me" type movie when I was a kid, don't think the format can go much deeper...

It was a pretty ****ing awesome movie actually. Far too much for the typical window licking, "I LIKE TEH BIG BANG BANGS AND TEH BOOM BOOMS!!" brain dead Americans who are so incapable of following a plot, much less one with three simultaneous "scenes" happening at once.

It could have been a lot more obviously, but he was pushing the limit by making it that complex.

I for one, think that it kept spinning... (without ruining it for people who've seen it).

To be honest i thought it was one of the best films ive seen in years, but then again i watch films for the story lines and not big bangs and sh*t.

I loved the movie.

But allow me to permanently ruin all future viewings for you.

I found the BIG DOT on Mal's forehead to be extremely distracting, for every single scene she is in.
